Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
They will never be accused of being fast food. Only 2 people in front of me over 30 minutes to go thru the drive thru.

We ALL know why this Whataburger is so awful. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. Waiting 45 minutes for two burgers and an order of wings isn’t the biggest issue.. but the attitude, yelling at customers to pull up, getting pissed because a customer is wanting their order 100% correct and had the audacity to ask for a missing item. This staff will be the reason this Whataburger doesn’t last. In 45 minutes 8 cars pulled off in anger.
I left this for last because it’s something I’ve never seen before.. the person working the drive thru lane handed the iPad to the customer and had them enter their food.

They didn't have any meat and still took orders. Customers waited for 45 mins until something was said or done. The general manager, Ashley, was rude. While on the phone (speaker phone) with her employees, she said "give her the money and get her out of MY lobby!" The workers were trying to do the right thing until their frustration kicked in. Food was messed up still after waiting 45 mins. March 12, 2026 at 7pm.

Tuesday 1pm. They shorted us fries but caught their own mistake & corrected it. Wife’s burger was missing cheese but it was corrected.
Meal was a fantastic Whataburger!
Just like we eat in Texas!

They are always slow no matter if they have a full staff or not. I came before work there were only three people working and one was the cooking who was also serving the driving thru line! THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD!! They will never make it here if they don’t get better help and speed things up!!
