  Upon walking in you are taking back in time and another place far away. Brick and mortar, industrial look with pictures and scenes on the wall to tell you that the owner was raised there with all the influences that Chicago throws at a young man. I was born and raised just south of that unique city and spent considerable time in each pizza restaurant judging for myself just who had the best in the city. So my question to Jay who was that young man who owns Mugsys, is “what is your favorite pizza place “ and without thinking he answered Giordana’s. Music to my ears! After an hour our pizza came out. Yes it takes along time so do as I do now, order ahead of time. It will be done when you arrive. This stuffed pizza comes with the same ingredients and all the influences is Giordanas. Right down to the homemade oven roasted Roma tomatoe sauce on top. Another great item on the menu is the shaved beef and cheddar. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed. For those of you that haven’t tried Mugsys yet, you’re in for a treat, go in and sit down and relax and try some authentic Chicago food without fighting the traffic to get there.

  When I get home sick for Chicago style Italian food this is the place!! Loved everything about it.

  This place is great we had the Philly, a meat lovers calzone and a Chicago style cheese pizza! All amazing the flavors are amazing.

  Really good Chicago style deep dish pizza. We've lived in the Chicago area and eaten tons of deep dish pizza. You can tell this restaurant has experience. Their pizza is very good and extremely similar to what you would get in Chicago. Lots of Chicago sports memorabilia on the walls. Fun spot.
