This trip I made it a point so my brother and I had a weekday lunch. That old familiar smell enveloped me as I walked in from the tiny crowded parking lot. Once in the heat from no air conditioning almost drove me away. However we ordered. I imagine the heat was wearing on the staff because they were low effort. I went to wash up and the mens room was disgraceful. Reminded me of one you’d see in 1930 at a rural fillin’ station. I decided my hands would be less clean had I went in further than the one step before I turned around. The drink station needed attention. I was satisfied with my lunch but the hot dining room really took away from my enjoyment. I wanted to give LJS a great review but this location on the day I visited was quite dismal and made me sad that after driving over a thousand miles to KY and going out of my way to LaGrange that THIS was my experience.

It was about 15 minutes from getting in line inside behind one person until I was able to leave with food. Fortunately, what I got was fresh, tasty, and a good value.
