Placed a mobile order, order was wrong. Called and asked for a replacement, they said they’d remake it, didn’t ask to bring said wrong food back. Returned to the store and the person at the window had an attitude, demanded the wrong food back! (State health code violation!!!) she finally got the food remade and told us, next time to bring the old food back! As a worker in the food profession I am appalled by the lack of FOOD SAFETY TRAINING at this particular McDonalds. Don’t be rude, ask for the receipt, remake the order, and apologize. Can’t do that? Find another job. DO BETTER IOLA!

Ordered online for drivethru pickup, got parked to wait on the SINGULAR apple pie I ordered. Waited over 10 minutes on one apple pie meanwhile 4-5 cars are getting served their food. My food has sat on the counter the entire time wiring for the pie, so now my food is cold and I'm still waiting for pie. I'm usually nice, and don't mind waiting, but I genuinely think 20 minutes for one apple pie is ridiculous. Once my partner went in to ask how much longer, the worker Amy then proceeded to gossip with her coworkers loudly claiming my partner was complaining when all he asked was how much longer for the ONE apple pie... The staff needs to do better. I have filed a formal complaint because as I said, I usually don't mind waiting, but after the interaction with my partner and Amy, it just doesn't sit right to let someone working in customer service get away with acting this way towards customers after making them wait over 20 minutes for food. A little communication and consideration is needed at this store.

Very Disappointed – Order Lost and No Help
We placed a mobile order through the McDonald’s app and got a notification saying it was ready for pickup at the counter or drive-thru. When my partner went in with the provided code, the worker said we “clicked the wrong store.” We double-checked and confirmed it was for 312 W Madison, Iola. The employee then said the order “didn’t go through,” even though we could clearly see the payment pending on our card.
When we asked for help or a refund, we were told there was nothing they could do and that the money “should just go back” to our card. We asked what we should do if the funds don’t go back, and the worker told us to come back in — which isn’t exactly easy since we live 22 minutes away. It’s frustrating that we were charged but never received our order, and that there was no effort to actually resolve the issue. Poor communication and customer service overall.
