    They opened at 10. I placed my pickup order for 11. Got to the restaurant at 10:50. Doors are locked. Called the restaurant, no answer. Knocked on door. Nothing. Walked away,, NOW an employee comes to open the door! My husband and I have tried to eat here 3 times in the last month. The first time, they were just straight up closed. The second time, they door was locked and it was 11:30am. Had to call to have someone open the door! And now, this today! The employee claimed it was because she was the only one there but I saw at least one more. Point being, if your restaurant says it opens at 10, your doors shouldn't still be locked at 11 and 11:30, and if they're going to be, then put a note on your door stating so.

    I haven't eaten at Long John Silver's since late 2014. I ordered the basket with 2 pieces of fish and a side of clam strips. I got 2 perfectly golden, crispy, burnt-tasting grease sponges, fries that managed the rare feat of looking undercooked while tasting stale, and decent hush puppies. While I appreciate the initiative to recycle, reuse, and repurpose, the only "re" that fryer oil should experience is "replace." The fish was hot, balanced with the cold clam strips, and rounded out with lukewarm hush puppies and fries. The employees seemed friendly, which I had ample time to experience as I waited close to 20 minutes, 10 of which listening to them through the ragged screen of their drive thru window. Eager to provide exemplary service, they tried to take payment for my mobile order twice. I left with the feeling I wouldn’t return for another 11 years—and one burning question: how is Long John Silver’s still in business?
