  I hadn't been to Pappadeaux, in years early 2000's. so, took my hubby and daughter for their birthday. My hubby was excited because when we drive in the big sign says, " Wild Caught Swordfish here. We had a 8pm reservation, but wasn't seated until 48mins later. Then when we were seated my hubby mentions to the waitress that he didn't see the Swordfish, she instantly corrects him and told him it was on the menu. He reopens the menu to show her and she's like oh. Then she ask someone and they said it was over for the season. The wait for subpar food was long. The waitress acted like it was her first day, she brought plates after we already had appetizers and bread after the plates. It was 2 birthdays but couldn't find the waitress to tell her. I put it on the reservation but they weren't acknowledged. Overall I definitely won't be back for another 20yrs.

  Dominique (our waiter) was amazing. She had great service in accommodating our big group celebrating my mothers birthday. She handles a big group efficiently and in great spirits. The service today was even better than the food.

  My family and I went here for dinner last night and sat at the bar. Izil was our waiter and it was the best service we have experienced. He was attentive, kind, food was great etc. will be coming back for sure!

  I've visited this restaurant a number of times over the years during business trips to Chicago, Lombard, and Cicero. Never disappointed, I always leave satiated and ready kick off the shoes and chill. The staff has always been super courteous and respectful. My go to order; shrimp etoufee with white rice, garlic bread, diet coke with a couple of sliced lemons. If I save room for dessert ... key lime pie!!! Enjoy!

  I was there with my father and father in law. We had no idea what to expect. We were even a little skeptical about how it would be at 1145am on a Tuesday. FANTASTIC!! is what it turned out to be. Our waiter Kenny was awesome with explaining the menu and answering questions. He was on point with refills as well and that's a big thing I pay attention to. We had the pasta Mardi gras, catfish with beans and rice and the fried shrimp. 2 of us added the gumbo and salad side as well. My dad couldn't have been happier with the salad with house dressing and I agreed. The creamy balsamic (i think ) was out of this world. The gumbo was good as well. The portions were very good as I'm eating leftovers while posting this . Everything we had was delicious and we will return for sure.
