Wife and I first visited this place on October 19th. That was my first experience ever swinging a golf club and it was a blast! We had a whole group of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! We decided to get the monthly membership since we had such a good time. I signed up for the $20a month deal on the 26th before heading to the range. I vaguely heard last time that you have to use the app to be able to use the membership deal $20 for 1 hour. So I used the app and went into the waiting list. We got to our bay and our server was nice but had no idea how the membership worked.. I specifically asked about how it works money wise and he insisted on that we can all figure it out and apply it at the end. Satisfied with that answer I signed up for 1.5 hours of playing time with the impression that the first hour would be redeeming the $20 member hour and then pay the other $20 for the extra 30 mins. When it was time to pay I again asked how the membership is applied the server went to go ask his manager. The manager came over and made us feel like we were trying to cheat the company or steal from them by just flat out saying " no you have to book through the app" not clarifying that joining the wait list on the app doesn't count as booking it. He kept repeating "the membership doesn't give you 1 free hour Everytime you come" ... That's not what I was even asking. I understand that i wanted clarification on how it worked. This is why I flat out asked the server before we even started. Only for the manager to come later and say no you're wrong pay full price even though my server wasn't trained right on how this memberhip even works. In the 2 visits I dropped over $300 here and this experience really left a negative impression on me. I urge people to take your money elsewhere unless they train their staff on their own membership and deals or hire managers that understand customer service.

What a joke. We were told it would be about a 1-hour wait for a bay, so we hung out at the bar — ended up waiting over 2 hours. Then, when we finally got a text saying our bay was ready, we went to the front desk only to be told by a rude employee that it would still be another hour. The staff at both the bar and the front desk were completely unprofessional — bratty kids with zero customer service skills. No one seemed to care or even try to help. I used to go to Topgolf Schaumburg often when it first opened, but it’s gone totally downhill. This will be my last time coming here. Save your time and money — it’s not worth the headache anymore.

Our group spent over $600 at Topgolf Schaumburg celebrating my husband’s 40th on 10/04, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Probably would have spent more if the service wasn’t so slow. 30+ minute waits, something we were very patient with. While our first server was clearly overworked, things somehow got worse when her shift ended and the next one took over. Service remained slow, and eventually came to a head when we tried to order food for the kids around 6:30pm, we were told by our server there wasn’t enough time and we “only had 28 minutes left”, even though we’d been extending our bay all day. For those that don’t know, much like bowling you can add time to your bay to continue playing. We asked for clarification from a manager, instead of getting it our food arrived about 20 mins later. So for anyone keeping track, the food has now arrived at about the time we were told to leave. Then a manager in a red shirt showed up and clarified that we could pack up and move inside because of a “reservation,” despite plenty of open bays. She told us we could get back on a wait list if we wanted to continue to play. I informed her that we would be leaving when the kids were done eating, that or she could move their plates inside as I wasn’t going to. She said “OK”, and walked away. Another manager, Ryan eventually came to smooth things over, but at that point another 20 mins had passed and we were looking to close the check and leave. Let me be clear, we would have stayed longer, we would’ve spent more money and we wouldn’t be leaving a one star review if the managers would’ve handled things 100% differently This location is completely disorganized and poorly managed. What should’ve been a fun 40th birthday turned into a frustrating mess. I will never come back to this location. Yikes
