    This was my first time ordering from the Schaumburg location, and I want to say, I was NOT disappointed! My first attraction, was that famous, distinct Harold's smell in the parking lot that got my attention. The owner was very friendly & attentive, not to mention, he cooked my shrimp & fries to perfection! I was absolutely pleased with the overall service & food! Other establishments should take notes! I will definitely be back!

    First off I want to say that the young man who cooked and prepared my food has been taught very well. My problem with the restaurant is that when they run out of a particular item, they should mark that item as available on their website, nit wait until the customer arrives to inform the customer that the item is not available. There also needs to be a way that some other than the manager can give refunds, especially when the need for a refund is the business' fault and not the customer's nor should the employee be required to call the owner to get approval to substitute items in my order because the employee can't do anything without your approval. My biggest issue is that the owner had the young man working by himself, on a Friday night. I don't care what ordering system and how many ordering systems a company has in the establishment, some things require a human being, you know like finding out how to check in for an online order. And at one point, the customers were lining up. Granted the employee stayed calm under pressure, but you could also see that he was starting to become overwhelmed. The owners of this Harold's should be ashamed of themselves. If you want your business to stay open until 2 a.m., you either need another employee, work yourself, or close up early. This is your business and running it to the bare bone minimum is absolutely unacceptable. And it's time to repaint your walls and update the furniture that is clearly worn. Make your business more presentable than what it is.

    I don't like to post nothing negative,but I might be in the area again and that is why I'm writing this review. I've been wanting to try Harold Chicken from watching people on youtube talk about how good it is which I've tried it in Houston Texas and I didn't like it to be honest. I was told I had to come all the way to Chicago Illinois to get some good Harold Chicken. I don't understand why I have to come 16 hrs away for some good Harold Chicken if someone from Chicago running the one in Houston Texas but ok 🤔. Anyways I didn't get to try the food here because the cook didn't wash his hands before putting on gloves then also coughing and one thing about me I don't play like that about my food. I didn't curse because I don't curse no more nor did I get loud. I kindly asked the lady for a refund and I was told I had to wait until a manager come in tomorrow,so I'm have to dispute the charge tomorrow because I stay in Texas and had a load up this way. Now some people complain about cooks not wearing gloves which doesn't mean nothing to me because a cook will touch everything with those gloves on including your food,but I don't care about gloves as long as you put some soap on your hands and wash them.

    I placed an order online and paid in advance, only to arrive and discover that the Schaumburg location was closed. Someone from the store did call, but I was on a work call and unable to answer. When I called back, I was told, “Well, you didn’t answer,” and I responded that no voicemail had been left to inform me of the issue. They then attempted to reroute my order to the Addison location for pickup, but I declined and requested a refund. I was told that a refund could not be issued until the Schaumburg location opened at 3 p.m. I asked if this was their standard business practice, and instead of answering, the employee hung up on me. This experience was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I will not be patronizing this Harold’s Chicken location again. No customer should be treated this way, especially after paying for an order they were unable to receive.
