Our mission is to shift the culture around being vegan & vegetarian by cultivating healthier & flavorful versions of your favorite comfort food dishes.The owner is a successful women based in Chicago , converting everyone over one customer at a time. If you are based within the Chicago area, this season we would love to extend an invite to stop by the popular yummy eatery and conduct a traditional food review or even 21 questions with the owner; as it relates to plant based recipes , truly being healthy in 2020 and more.

But not the breakfast, we ordered waffle entrees and after 25 mins of waiting we were told that the waffle machine was broken, the cook opted out for pancakes instead, my husband didn’t want a pancake stacked sandwich and selected something else. I agreed to accept the pancakes and waffles only to realize they gave me one pancake to replace my Belgian waffle and made no price adjustments. We should have just left because we were not satisfied. The wait staff was not hospitable and they moral compass was unacceptable. Here I am still hungry 🤔

We finally tried Can’t Believe It’s Not Meat in Chicago and let me tell you… they did NOT miss! I ordered the chili cheese dog, fries, lemon pepper vegan wings, and the vegan Oreo shake — and everything was absolutely delicious. The chili cheese dog was flavorful and messy in the best way possible, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and those lemon pepper wings had the perfect kick of tangy flavor. The vegan Oreo shake was the cherry on top — creamy, rich, and hard to believe it’s dairy-free! This spot proves you don’t have to give up comfort food to eat plant-based. Definitely one of my new favorite places in Chicago!

The lasagna was also delicious, although it had a spicy kick to it that "regular" lasagnas do not have and not what we were expecting. We would order it again. We ordered online for a 5:45 pm pick up on Saturday night and are glad we did. The dining area was full and the line to order was from the register to the door. This place is definitely a crowd pleaser!!
