Walked to go sit inside, there was a sign on the door that said inside closed. So we go to go thru the drive thru and there was a man just standing outside smoking a blunt. And nobody answered the intercom.

Let’s just be real here - this is very literally one of, if not the, worst Wendy’s I have ever been to, and believe me, we have given them ample opportunities to do better. No more.
Do not come here if you want to get food in anything remotely resembling a reasonable timeframe. It doesn’t matter if there are no cars ahead of you or not. Do not come here if you want to be able to drive away from the drive thru without checking your bag. Maybe one time in the past several years have they actually not left at least one item (and multiple times they’ve left entire meals) out.
Here is the truth of the matter - once Covid happened, they lost a lot of staff and have never seemed to recover. Since it’s been this long, I have to believe the franchise owner simply doesn’t care, or is too far removed from this location to be aware of just how bad it is. It honestly feels like they are being forced to do the job of (at least) double the number of people that are in there at any given time. This is the fault of the owner/district person/higher ups for not getting them more help, not the fault of the local employees. I’d be as grumpy as they are half the time if I was also having to do the work of three people for what certainly cannot be enough pay.
Seriously, though, the fact remains, unless you want to have a bad remainder of your day/night, avoid this Wendy’s.

Came after a football game. I understand that they may have been hit with more business than expected at 1030 at night, but we sat in the drive thru for 23 minutes. And there were only 5 cars in the drive thru when we pulled up. Normally, I wouldn’t wait that long but I had a kid who performed at the football game and she was really hungry. I’ve been here on days with great service, but today was definitely not one of them. Do better, Wendy’s
