  - A 10/10 always. VERY fast service even at peak times. - Food is always well prepared and fresh and the global items to try are a fun part of this McD. - Service is my fav part: they’re very welcoming and are willing to get you anything that’s missing or wasn’t right in your order. They bring you your food in a cute tray, if you dine in, feels fancy. - Parking can be a bit difficult as there’s only “carry out” spots, and paid parking spots. Early mornings and early weekends tends to be a good time to sit down and explore. - As life time customer, I always feel really taken care of, but the MHQ McD takes the cake.

  We were really excited to visit the McDonald’s headquarters location in Chicago to try international menu items. Unfortunately, many items weren’t available, likely due to the New Year and holiday season, which was disappointing. That said, the ambiance is excellent, easily better than any regular McDonald’s. The space feels modern and special, which adds to the experience. On the food side, we liked the Mango McFlurry and the Spicy McCrispy burger. However, the Chicken Classic Wrap was very bland and tasteless. The fries and McChicken were also below average. Overall, it was an okay experience, but it didn’t fully meet our expectations for a flagship location, especially given the limited international options.

  Very clean McDonald’s with amazing service, unlike almost any other in North America. What’s great about this one is the limited rotating menu of international items. If you enjoy McDonald’s, it’s a great way to “travel” to different locations without the flight. On this particular menu we really enjoyed the mango McFlurry which is now my favourite McFlurry of any I’ve tried, beating out Oreo.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Local Guide Review 🌍🍔 As a Local Guide, I always enjoy finding unique spots—and this was my first time visiting the McDonald’s Global Menu in Chicago, located on Randolph Street, right on the first floor of Hamburger University 📍🏫. I tried several of their international menu items, and they were honestly very good. It’s a fun and different experience to taste McDonald’s favorites from around the world without leaving the city ✈️✨ 🌎 Global Items I tried: 🔸 Mango McFlurry → 🇲🇾 Malaysia 🥭🍦 🔸 McWrap Sweet Chili → 🇳🇱 Netherlands 🌯🔥 🔸 Winter Fries → 🇫🇷 France 🍟❄️ These are part of McDonald’s Global Menu, featuring items that are popular in their home countries, and it’s definitely worth trying if you’re looking for something beyond the standard menu. This location is very heavy on delivery orders 🚴‍♂️📦, but despite that, the operation feels smooth and efficient. The restaurant is clean, well maintained, and organized, which makes sense given its proximity to Hamburger University. 📌 Local Guide tip: If you enjoy trying new flavors or international food concepts, this McDonald’s is a great stop in downtown Chicago. A unique experience you won’t find at every location 🌟🍟

  I am a loyal and frequent customer of this location and visit nearly every morning. The treatment I received was unacceptable. On December 25, 2025, I placed an online order for pickup at Restaurant 39148. When I arrived, the restaurant was closed due to Christmas. I fully understand holiday closures. However, the online ordering system did not indicate that this location was closed or unavailable for pickup, resulting in payment for an order I could not receive. I returned the following morning to retrieve my order or request a refund. Instead of assistance, I was met with hostility and accusations of dishonesty from the managers on duty. I was told I was lying because they claimed no orders were received the prior day. Even after presenting clear proof of purchase and payment from my debit card, I continued to be treated as though I was attempting to defraud the company. One manager walked away from the register in visible frustration before completing my order. Another manager’s demeanor implied that I was stealing from the brand. The tone set by management caused the entire staff to treat me with suspicion. I was humiliated and discredited in front of others, despite being a daily customer of this location. I clearly stated that I was willing to accept a refund. My concern is not the food but the conduct. Accusing a customer of dishonesty, disregarding documented proof, and responding with contempt reflects a serious failure in leadership and customer service. McDonald’s is a respected global brand, and this experience fell far below its standards. I am requesting a review of this incident and appropriate corrective action to ensure customers are treated with professionalism and respect.
