  We made reservations two months prior to the actual date as we had tickets to a show. We allowed 2 hrs for dining. 24 hrs prior to reservation we get all to arrive 30-45 min early to accommodate show times for guests. We arrive 30 min early and they looked surprised. They wanted to seat us at high tops immediately next to the door and another table. There was no room to even pull a chair out. We said no and wanted a table. They told us they’d need to see what sever could seat us. Which is surprising seeing as we had 5pm reservations for 2 months. Made us feel like an inconvenience. We are seated in the far back and there was a large reservation of 13 and no other tables seated yet. Our severer felt rushed. Never provided us with a cocktail menu. Only wine list on table. We were given the drink menu at the end when asked if we wanted dessert. This was a costly miss for them indeed given my husband likes good bourbon. Our extra place settings were never removed. We could hear other wait staff even arguing with the manager. Thankfully our food came quickly and quality of food was delicious. The menu said specifically the salmon came with a side. However the steaks didn’t specify anything. So we ordered additional sides. The steak ended coming with the same sides listed with salmon. This would have been nice to know as we didn’t need to order extra food, especially when we were going to a show after and can’t take it with us. While the quality of the food was memorable, given the low quality of service, I would not go back given what you pay there. Typically a manager will go around to check in with guests but that didn’t. Otherwise, we would have raised issues then. Restrooms were clean.

  I chose this restaurant to celebrate a very special occasion — our 5-year anniversary, (The restaurant was clearly informed about the special occasion, as I noted it in the reservation when booking the tabla) which also happened to be Christmas Day. The table was reserved in advance, yet upon arrival we were forced to wait about 20 minutes, despite clearly seeing multiple empty tables in the dining room. Once seated, our server took our order. About 15 minutes later, appetizers were brought out. We also ordered steaks, drinks, and additional items. After 30 minutes of waiting for our main courses, we asked the server for an update. He asked us to repeat our entire order, claiming he wanted to “check with the kitchen,” while at the same time insisting the food was already being prepared. Another 25 minutes passed, and only then did he return to tell us that the kitchen had not even started our order yet. At that point, more than an hour had passed, we were hungry, frustrated, and the celebration was completely ruined. We informed him that we were no longer willing to wait.Just a couple of minutes later, he suddenly brought out a dish saying the chef had prepared it — but it was not what we had ordered at all. We selected this restaurant based on positive Google reviews, which turned out to be a huge mistake. The service was disorganized, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable — especially for such an important occasion. Our anniversary was ruined, and this experience left us deeply disappointed. Thanks!!!

  We loved our meal here! It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and the oysters and swordfish were great too. We had excellent service from our server Marisol! Also the restaurant atmosphere is actually a lot nicer than it looks in the photos on this listing. We are from Wyoming but I cant wait to come back here the next time we are in Chicago

  We were here mid afternoon. We had an appetizer and the surf and turf special. The food is worth it! Gave us a full sized steak and large amount of sides. There's no allergen menu but the staff know the menu well enough to be able to tell you if you can have what you are requesting. Food tasted great with excellent knowledgeable staff!

  Our server was not very attentive. Others seated after us got their food faster than us. When I made the reservation, I?mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary. Our occasion was not acknowledged. Very disappointed. The last time we were there our server was outstanding and very attentive.
