Objectively, comfort African cuisine is a very nice restaurant. They have reasonably priced food, nice staff, and fast service.
The jollof rice was especially delicious and flavorful. The fufu had a good texture, and the beef patty was really enjoyable.
Everything was objectively very well prepared.
With that said, and given the context I am autistic and have very specific food preferences, certain dishes were a bit overwhelming for me personally. This is to no fault of the restaurant itself; to the contrary, the flavors seemed authentic, and the vast majority of the dishes were delicious.
4.8/5 stars, Will likely come again for the jollof <3

Absolutely love it. But please get better lights that aren’t the bright white LED ones. I felt like I was in a garage.

This is truly a taste of home. The jollof rice chicken is perfectly seasoned, the poundo yam is smooth and satisfying, and the egusi soup with goat meat so delicious and rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. The suya is smoky, spicy, and absolutely delicious. Great food, and an authentic, Highly recommended!

**DO NOT RECOMMEND BY ANY MEANS**
I was really looking forward to this meal, as I genuinely enjoy African food. However upon trying to enter the restaurant, the front door didn’t even open which should have been my first sign not to enter in. Once being seated (in a very empty restaurant), we placed our order and the food came not too long after. I heard a series of microwave sounds as she was in the kitchen preparing the meal. Once we got our food I was very confused as to what I even ordered, upon taking a bite I began to question the meat that was given. It was like actual rubber, and what appeared to be goat testicles.
The entire time trying to eat whatever it is that was on the plate, she was in the back having a full blown loud conversation on the phone. We actually needed her a few times, but she was in the kitchen totally not able to be found without entering in. Not once did she check on us, not once did she ask if we needed anything else, or how was the food.
Not to mention I was petrified by how disgusting the bathroom was, and in all I honesty I should’ve known better because the kitchen was no better. If I have the energy I will report to the food and health administration for a thorough grade.
