  My wife, daughter and her boyfriend came in for breakfast today. It’s been several months since we were there and we were seated promptly. That in itself was unusual from previous visits since we noticed it wasn’t extremely busy on a Sunday morning at 10am. Looking at the menu, it seems prices have increased quite a bit since we were last there. We ordered and beverage service was very quick. My wife had a peppermint mocha latte which was advertised on the board as we entered. My wife said it was ok but not very hot. The peppermint flavor added $1.75 to the $5.50 latte. My daughter had a Carmel iced latte. She likes Carmel flavor so asked for extra Carmel and whipped cream. It was good but looking at bill it came up to $9 before tip…a little pricey. We received our meals , my wife’s Cali Benedict she said tasted great but the eggs were very runny. Perhaps the waitress should inquire about doneness. My daughter had eggs and stack of pancakes -Eggs were cooked well but the pancakes were kind of flat and not fluffy like in the past. I have to say my bacon and cheese omelet also was flat. Plenty of bacon but not a lot of cheese and eggs were not whipped up. My daughter’s boyfriend got the skillet breakfast but was not impressed with the flavors. All in all we’ve had a better breakfast at Cracker Barrel at same or less cost! The check came and it automatically added a suggested 25% gratuity charge with the option to change it…I did because I didn’t feel the food quality reflected the price charged and I reserve 25-30% for more complex service. Not sure we will be back based on this experience.

  This was my first visit, and it was delicious! I ordered carry-out, so I can't really comment on atmosphere, but will definitely order from here again.

  Absolutely delicious breakfast at PerKup Cafe! We all agreed the ingredients for the egg dishes were fresh and well prepared. We all know easy it is to overcook eggs. This food was delightful! One in our party ordered the buttermilk pancakes. Not exaggerating. . . 3 lunch plate sized cakes that were 1/2 thick! Light, fluffy. Yum. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

  I’ve been to PerKup several times in the past, and always enjoyed my experience until the last time I was there. I met a friend for breakfast, and as we were chatting my friend noticed the staff behind us talking very noticeably about us leaving. We were not camping out and had not been there an excessive amount of time, in fact I was still eating the food on my plate. Based on this experience and other recent reviews, it seems the atmosphere has become rather unwelcoming.

  Watch their coupons...received one via email for "your next order at PerKup Cafe." I interpreted it literally that the coupon was good AT the cafe, but when I attempted to redeem it in the restaurant I was pointed to the fine print that it was for online orders only. As regular customers there it would have been nice for the manager to have shown some interest in working with me, but he refused to acknowledge the misleading wording in the email. Good news is, there are plenty of other great brunch spots on the west side I'll be happy to give my business to.
