Morimoto was an incredible experience. The food is incredible. The spicy short ribs might be the best ribs I've ever eaten. Aaron, Grayson, and Alan were also incredible servers able to answer and questions we had. It is a wonderful dining experience

The worst dining experience we had in Maui. Reservation was for 7pm, showed up at 6:55pm, but got sat at 7:15 pm. Service was slow, food was decent but not worth the price. We got a bottle of white wine which was plunked down on the table with no chilling, then 1/2 an hour later the waiter figured it out and brought an ice bucket. Too late and haphazard. Then it took 2hrs 30mins to do the omakase menu because the servers were so inattentive… my husband’s wagu was way overcooked and it took another 20 mins to refire a properly cooked steak. If you’re staying at the Andaz, skip this place. Everywhere else is far better and skips the Chef Morimoto hype.

Our trip to Morimoto was amazing! Me and my family went here for a dinner while staying in Maui. Not only was the food amazing but our server, Ashley, provided amazing service. She explained the dishes on the menu poetically and accommodated my wife’s allergies very well. She was such a welcoming and warm person and served my family spectacularly, even being a new server at the restaurant. The food was flavorful and served quickly. I would highly recommend stopping here during you stay in Hawaii!

Mikey was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on, the pacing of the meal was perfect, and he made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout the entire experience. Service like his elevates the whole restaurant, we’ll be asking for Mikey every time we come back to Morimoto. Truly exceptional. Thank you for such a nice experience.

Visiting for Vancouver, Canada, where you’re accustomed to the fresh sushi on every corner, I was still blown away by the dishes at this restaurant. Not only was th seafood amazing my favourites being the rocky tuna (popcorn shrimp topped on a spicy tuna roll) was the freshest fish I have ever tasted, service was delightful, fun conversations and our waiter tailored to our interests. Their sticky ribs are to die for, and 8oz Australian Wagyu Tenderloin, was the most beefy flavourful tenderloin I’ve tried. If you have $ this is a must go in Hawaii.
