Finally made it here! Used to go to Rascal House in Miami. This Sarasota revival is excellent. The rolls and tins of pickles on the table are missed but i get it...it's 2026. The food was great! Missed the matzah ball soup so much. Will be back when travels put me back in the area.

Phenomenal. The food was every bit as delicious as the 2nd Avenue Deli in NYC. The kreplach was my barometer. That is not an easy recipe. They even have the onions down to a science with being reduced with a hint of schmalz. The atmosphere was so warm. It's It felt like coming home. This was a stellar dining experience for all of us. Keep up the great work!

WORST DELI EVER! AND RIP OFF! French fries were cold and when we complained they took the old fries in the back and put them back in the deep fryer to reheat ( you can’t do that they soak up the grease) and are just awful. My wife wasn’t hungry and ordered the fries and I ordered a $23 sandwich, during the meal she decided she might like part of the sandwich which I gave her. The sandwich tasted ok but was cold! They brought the bill and charged us $32 for two 1/2 sandwiches and told us they “saw my wife eating some of my sandwich so they arbitrarily changed our order to TWO 1/2 Sandwiches for $32…they didn’t give us 2 sides for two 1/2 sandwiches? They didn’t give us a second diner plate that they would have to wash. NY had their “Soup Nazi” Sarasota has their “Deli Nazi”…... “ No good enjoyable meal for you” Sad that their business is so poor that they have to stoop to this kind of nonsense.

We recently tried The Original Wolf’s & Rascals Delicatessen, and unfortunately, I was not impressed.
I ordered the Reuben sandwich, and it was dry and virtually tasteless. I actually had to ask for extra dressing just so I could dip it and get some flavor out of it. The French fries were okay—probably the best part of the meal—but nothing memorable.
I also ordered potato salad and coleslaw just to give them a fair try. One bite of each was enough; I didn’t eat any of it.
What made the experience even more disappointing was the price. For a brunch that came out to over a hundred dollars, the food simply was not worth it. The quality did not match the cost in any way.
Everyone’s taste is different, but for us, this was a letdown, and we won’t be returning.

Way overpriced food for a grilled cheese sandwich a turkey sandwich a half a sandwich with maybe 2 tablespoons of chopped liver and a small pastrami sandwich. I asked for my sandwich to have the mayonnaise on the side and it was full of mayonnaise. I did not ask for them to bring it back because I didn’t want them to throw it out but for four people with tax and tip $150 is ridiculous for such a small amount of food. No one came back to refill our water or our sweet tea and the guy that brought us our food look grumpy so never again Oh, by the way, did I tell you that my turkey sandwich was $24 Yeah, way way overpriced. We could’ve ate steak for less than that. my mom‘s potato pancakes or latkes were a joke. It looks like they were frozen and then just cooked in a microwave. They tasted terrible.
