  We came in for a casual Saturday brunch and sat at the bar with Kyle. This was our first time dining at this location. The food was exceptionally prepared and the service equally impressive. I would highly recommend the Short Rib Surf & Turf (an amazing play on a benedict) featured Gouda Potato Cakes with Short Rib in a Demi and Lobster topped with a Poached Egg and Hollandaise. Simply, WOW! Cocktails, Crab Cake, Beef Tartare and Oysters all exceptional. Kyle made us feel rightlike regulars and we will definitely be back soon!

  Food was delicious! Kitchen rather slow. Service not wonderful, felt rather ignored by the waiter, had to ask for refills. The assistant was much more attentive to our needs. And the noise level, was AWFUL!!!! It was nearly impossible to speak with the person next to you, let alone across the table. Doubtful, I'll return. And be prepared valet parking is $10! Seriously?

  The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. My complaint was with the valet parking. When my car was returned, they had adjusted my driver seat and I did not know that they had turned my headlights off. I never touch that control. I always leave it in Auto. As a result, I drove 10 miles on US 41 north with no headlights not knowing until someone flagged me down. I could’ve been stopped and ticketed or worse yet could’ve been in an accident. There is no excuse for that. I called to talk to the manager about this, left my phone number, and he never returned my call. Very disappointed. We’ll never go back.

  I have come here with my partner for our monthly anniversary/date night several times, and we in the past have always had great food AND service. Unfortunately last night sitting at the bar, even while it was mostly halfway or more empty the majority of the time we were there, the service from Mitch was just unbelievably slow and unattentive. If the bar had been busier I would’ve been more understanding but as someone in the service industry myself I was shocked at how long it took to get and also make even our drink order. 3 times in a row we were given sets of water glasses with lipstick marks, we had to request 3 different pairs of glasses since the first two were both dirty and one of the next two even. Not what you expect at this kind of restaurant for sure. After that I had to ask twice for food menus, as I was never asked if we were drinking or dining as well. Truthfully at that point I looked at my partner and said if no one comes for our food order very shortly we are leaving and going to Hyde Park for dinner. A different and much more attentive bartender (sorry I forget his name, young with brown hair) thankfully came over then and kind rescued the evening and kept me in my seat instead of leaving completely unhappy. Food was good as always but will not be returning soon especially on a weekend

  5-Star Dining Experience at Ocean Prime Sarasota From start to finish, our dinner at Ocean Prime Sarasota was first class. The ambiance was elegant yet comfortable, and the service was impeccable. Our server Neil delivered a flawless dining experience — gracious, attentive, and professional. He anticipated every need with a calm confidence that truly elevated the evening. The 22oz bone-in ribeye was nothing short of perfection — tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite showcased the kitchen’s precision and care. The sides were equally impressive: Smoked Gouda tater tots that were crispy and rich, and Chophouse corn that was creamy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We also enjoyed the Chilean seabass, cooked to absolute perfection — buttery, flaky, and delicately balanced. The wine menu offers an excellent and diverse selection, with thoughtful pairings for every course and palate. Ocean Prime Sarasota continues to set the bar for fine dining on the Gulf Coast — an exceptional experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
