Food was just okay. Not really what I expected from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant. Calamari was overcooked and entree (flounder and shrimp) was just average. Supposedly where the "locals" eat, but I doubt this. More of a touristy thing. Expensive for what it was. Better choices in the area I'm sure.

This place was packed and it was our first time visiting, we were on vacation. We were told a 15 min wait for a table but it took about 30. Others were sat before us but, I think that was because employees were waiting on a table to better accommodate a wheelchair and walker. The server was very friendly and helpful with questions. It took so long to get our appetizers and the main orders that nothing came out hot. The food was warm enough to still eat but, just not as satisfying as it could have been if it were hot (hope that makes sense). Even still, the food was good. We had grouper bites, shrimp, and clams for appetizers. The bites & shrimp had a bam bam sauce that was bland but ok, they were fried so just coming out warm missed the mark. I had fried haddock with fries and rice pilaf - all was just kind of warm and bland. My dad had steamed veggies with his that weren’t fully steamed. For the price paid, the mark was definitely missed. Fried foods really need to be hot and crispy, ours was warm with the breading getting mushy and tasted like no one understood seasoning. Definitely a miss.

One of the best seafood markets in Sarasota/Bradenton. Only have eaten in the restaurant a couple times, which was very good, but the best part is the market. We love fresh fish, but it's so hit or miss at most places, but not here. They have a good selection of some of the best fish like local grouper, snapper and sword and fresh flown in fish like sea bass, halibut and salmon. We also love the clams, which are cold water compared to the warm water variety most places have. The seafood here isn't cheap, but it's as fresh and high quality as your gonna get . Place is a little dated and perhaps can use a update, but it's clean and kind of charming...

This was our first time visiting this restaurant, we won't be back. First off our waitress was wonderful! She had a lot of tables and was so busy running around, but she was checking on everyone. We did not care for how dark and drab the restaurant was. We ordered the Red Snapper Blackened dinner and Chicken Sandwich Blackened with Mash Potatoes. The Chicken sandwich was good, however the mash potatoes were terrible, had an odd taste like they were by the green beans and got mixed in. The fish was ok, nothing special, same complaint about the potatoes and the tiny few bites of cooked spinach was ridiculous for a side of a meal. We left our waitress a good tip, but would never return to pay for a dinner their again.

We really liked this place. We went on a Saturday at noon and were seated right away. It's got a nice atmosphere, great food, efficient service and reasonable prices. Plus you can buy fresh seafood from their market which is part of the restaurant. We stopped for lunch and had a variety of fish sandwiches which averaged $23 each. Helen, our server, was courteous and efficient. We had eaten dinner here last year and this time we were here for lunch so the menu didn't include many of the things that are on their bigger dinner menu. They have a full bar and parking is free in their lot. If you go for lunch, check out the bakery next door but if you go for dinner it will probably be closed.
