Honestly, it’s been quite some time since I’ve had this bad of an experience at a restaurant. It was my partner’s birthday yesterday and we chose Outback because it’s usually much better quality and service than other chain restaurants. Not the case last night (11/18) at all-every thing that could’ve gone wrong pretty much did-all 4 of our meals came out incorrectly. My food was fine but I was given other people’s sides and my Mac and cheese was cold. My partner’s steak was supposed to have the Toowoomba add on and it did not, it was also supposed to be medium, it came out medium rare and most of the whole Ribeye was just fat-Outback has some audacity to charge these prices for an all fat, incorrectly cooked steak. My mother in law’s steak was supposed to be medium, it came out very well done. My father in law was supposed to have the plain grilled salmon and it came out with the Toowoomba sauce on it- He had to sit there without food while everyone else had theirs. Unacceptable for such prices. The huge issue I have though is with the service we received from everyone all night, particularly the manager but let me start with everyone else- our server was nice but really didn’t do anything the entire time that a server should be doing- she left menus on our table the entire time, only checked on us while walking quickly by so it was hard to ask for what we needed-we had to beg for every plate to be taken out of our way and ask multiple times for boxes, a bag, and sauce- each time a separate ask, she didn’t pre bus our table a single time on her own volition. I have been a server for 15 years and a huge part of serving is anticipating a table’s needs- we shouldn’t have to ask for our table to be prebussed when there was clearly a bunch of glasses, plates and menus sitting there at a small table for 4 people. We shouldn’t have had to chase her down for a bag separately after asking for boxes multiple times. When our food came out incorrectly, she came by and shrugged and said “well, I can only put the food in but that’s all I can really do.” Pretty crazy, the lack of care for the service she was giving. Next, every member of support staff we interacted with couldn’t have cared less to ask if they could pre buss our tables and a small, dark haired girl flat out rolled her eyes and refused to take one of our glasses, claiming it belonged to the bar-I’m assuming she’s underage and can’t touch alcohol glasses and I understand that, however, that would’ve been the time to ask another staff member to grab it. Finally, the manager is who I have a real issue with honestly-brown haired guy, maybe mid 30’s, can’t remember his name but possibly Casey or something. As a manager, you are the last line of defense for an unhappy guest- this guy barely cared to make our experience better. Truthfully after working in restaurants for 15 years, with all the mess ups, a lot of our check should have been comped or least maybe half- customer service 101, that’s how you defuse a situation like this. We were not offered a single thing to be taken off our bill, my father in law still paid in full and tipped around 20%. We were not offered even a free dessert, just some $10 coupons for future visits and the manager hoping we’d come back. That’s honestly wild to me, that’s exactly the incorrect way to handle a situation as a manager. Not only that but he honestly couldn’t have cared less and I want it known that at the end of the day, the entire situation rests on the manager on duty-not the server, not the kitchen, the manager who’s in charge of the shift is responsible to make things right and he definitely did not do so. Very disappointing experience on a special occasion and we won’t be back-I suppose we’ll have to use those sad little coupons at a different location on a to go order. You guys need to get it together, when the food is expensive, the service and food need to be on point.

OUTBACK has always been my favorite restaurant, and in the past I would have gladly given it 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately, I’ve had to lower my overall rating to 3 stars because they no longer serve prime rib every day—it’s now only available on weekends. I usually prefer dining during the week when the restaurant is less crowded, so this change is a real disappointment. In my opinion, removing prime rib from the daily menu was a major mistake. Even my server mentioned that both staff and customers are unhappy about it. Unless they bring prime rib back as a daily option, I don’t see myself returning.

Went to this location for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Had a 6 oz sirloin and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked perfectly. This all on veterans Day when it was super busy. I will be back for sure.
