Chari/Shari (sorry if I misspelled) was amazing! Was super bummed about there not being oxtails left but she convinced me to get the turkey neck instead and it was amazing đđ˝. Will be coming back!

I heard about Island Tings on IG, we were visiting Miami after our family cruise. I got the Turkey necks and when I tell you , They did not disappoint! It was 𤤠delicious đ! The cashier gave me a complimentary Ginger lemonade omg!!! Everything was 10/10 đ The pic below is mostly leftovers, Yes .. there is so much food. Portions are very large!

I really wanted to like Island Tings, but my experience today was rough. I ordered through their own app with a 30-minute pickup window. When I arrived on time, I was told the order wouldnât be ready for another 30 minutes. I only get an hour for lunch, so that basically wiped out my entire break. When I asked for a refund, I was told they couldnât refund orders placed through their own app, only through Uber Eats or DoorDash.
Ironically, I tried to order directly to avoid those platformsâ extra fees being charged to the restaurants⌠and somehow that ended up punishing me as the customer.
I came back 20 minutes later like they asked, and the order still wasnât ready. In total, I waited almost an hour for food Iâd ordered ahead. The staff even called the owner while I was standing there, and he still refused to issue a refund. The âwe can refund you laterâ comment didnât inspire much confidence, either.
I do want to highlight the woman working the front, Tina. She was handling the entire lunch rush by herself and still stayed friendly and helpful. None of this was her fault, and she did a fantastic job with what she had.
Food might be good, but the experience wasnât. If you order from here, donât rely on the pickup times the app gives you, and be prepared for long waits. And order via DoorDash or Uber Eats.
