I have been a vegetarian for my entire life and today, after 25 years, I ordered a vegan burger and was given beef. I realised instantly when I swallowed the first bite. The same lady that served me also put chicken in the salad of another vegetarian! I complained immediately and was refunded but I have felt absolutely sick all day and it’s ruined my experience. I am put off meat substitutes for life. I want to say this delicately as I too am not from the US, but the lady who served me had no understanding of what I was saying whatsoever and clearly had a terrible grasp of the English language. There are many jobs people who don’t speak the language could do without endangering the lives of guests. I dread to think what would happen if someone with allergies ate here. I also ate here last week and was served by a totally different member of staff who also spoke essentially no English. Not the place for people who don’t understand to work.
