We visited Estefan’s Kitchen last night and had mixed feelings.
When you walk in, the vibe is immediately nice—beautiful space, lively atmosphere, and clearly designed for music and energy. We had a 6:30 PM reservation and were seated within about 10 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, with plenty of open tables.
Unfortunately, our initial seating was disappointing. We were brought all the way to the far right in a separate room where you couldn’t even see the stage. To make it worse, we were seated directly next to a large, loud Christmas party at a long table along the back wall. I politely questioned the hostess—given all the open, better seats—and to her credit, she came back about five minutes later and moved us to a front-row booth right by the stage, which completely changed the experience for the better.
At 7:00 PM, the live band started playing and they were excellent—great energy, fun, engaging, and really brought the place to life. The music and atmosphere were easily the highlight of the night.
Food, however, was where things fell short.
We started with the appetizer platter ($35), which was very underwhelming for the price: three empanadas, four pork bites, four fried round items, and some plantain chips. The two sauces were basic—one mayonnaise-based and one barbecue—and the flavors overall were mediocre. Definitely not worth the price.
For dinner, I ordered the $45 steak with rice signature dish with rice and beans. When it arrived, the presentation was surprisingly bare: just a piece of steak on the plate with a tiny amount of chimichurri. The rice and beans came in a separate bowl. Unfortunately, the steak was cold, the white rice was bland and cold (honestly something I could’ve made better at home), and the beans weren’t even hot. I sent it back.
I ended up ordering the pork fried rice instead—the same dish the rest of my family ordered—which arrived about 10 minutes later. It was fine, but nothing memorable.
In the end, we still had a good night because the music was great, people were dancing, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. But purely from a food and value standpoint, it didn’t deliver. We honestly could’ve sat outside at Sunset Walk, enjoyed live music, and had better food for less money.
Nice venue. Great music. Fun energy.
Food was not worth the price.
