Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently praised the food for being hot, fresh, and delicious, particularly the burgers and fries, although some reported issues with cold or poorly prepared items.
Service Experience
While many reviews highlighted friendly and helpful staff, there were notable complaints about rude service and incorrect orders, indicating inconsistency in customer service.
Wait Times
Several customers expressed frustration with long wait times, particularly in the drive-thru, which detracted from their overall experience.
Cleanliness
The restaurant was generally noted for being clean, contributing positively to the dining experience.
Pricing Concerns
Some customers felt the prices were high for fast food, especially when the quality did not meet their expectations.

While me and my family were eating here for the first time we sat and one of the employees must have been on break and he was in the corner picking his nose and eating it and then proceeded to just chew it on his finger.🤮🤮 the person who took our order was polite and food was okay, but after seeing that we lost our appetite🤮

Probably the slowest fast food restaurant in all of Florida, don’t come here if you are very hungry, and make sure you fuel up your car, you’re going to be sitting in the drive through for a ridiculous amount of time.

I was so excited to try this place as it is my first Whataburger experience.
Start with, we ordered inside establishment online. Ordered Spicy Chicken with no pickles and cheese, Double bacon burger, large onion rings and pickles pear raspberry refresher. Recieved drink quickly. Definitely more like a raspberry lemonade but pleasing. Waited 10 minutes for food. Establishment pretty clean up and down. Watched counter services and observed frosted berry drink made and interactions. No thanks on the drink and customer services needs to be more perseptive and personable. Lost star.
Recieved half a large onion rings of which had to retrieve most of it from bag to put in container for picture. Looks nice but just tastes of grease. My Spicy Chicken; even though had its special stickers on it, came with pickles. The burger sloppily made! Way too much mayo,a small and wilted piece of lettuce, very soft sad tomatoes. Twas a little spicy but then again tastes very strong of the grease. Upsetting. Lost star. Bacon burger was better put together and is sizable. Flavor is just okay. Over all a loss of another star for feeling like I just wasted $23 on unsatisfactory food that couldn't be fixed because on the road in a busy day. Came. Saw. Tried. Fool me once.
