- RRRocky RoadsOct 29, 20251.0I recently visited the Smashburger at Destin Commons and unfortunately, it was a really disappointing experience. I get that it's called Smashburger, but the buns were literally smashed flat along with the patty, which I don’t think is how it’s supposed to be. The whole burger ended up super thin and way smaller than I expected. The Double Spicy Jalapeño burger was incredibly salty, maybe from some kind of heavy seasoning they used, and the All-American Burger was just drenched in ketchup and mustard to the point of being messy. To add to that, the loaded fries were just okay, and the Oreo Cookies & Cream shake tasted off, like it had something weird mixed in. When I tried to address it, they told me I had to call a number for any kind of refund instead of handling it there. Plus, I noticed the kitchen staff weren’t wearing gloves, which didn’t feel great from a cleanliness perspective. Overall, it was just a pretty poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on this visit.
