  We had the best experience ever at Rocco’s Tacos in Delray! Chris, the manager, was incredibly nice, friendly, and professional, which set the tone for such a great night. Harry, our waiter, was an absolute DREAM. He was so bubbly, kind, and attentive, made amazing recommendations, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had the best night possible. His hospitality skills are seriously off the charts. Bobby at the bar made the best drinks and even surprised us with shots that were delicious. Overall, a 10/10 experience. We love Rocco’s Tacos and can’t wait to come back!

  I’ve been coming to Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar for years when I’m in Delray, and Nikki is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. She’s friendly, remembers her regulars, makes great drinks, and keeps things running smoothly even when the bar is packed. You can tell she genuinely cares about what she does, and it shows in the quality of service every single visit. Rocco’s already has a great atmosphere, but Nikki truly elevates the experience. If you’re lucky enough to grab a seat at her bar, you’re in great hands!

  Visiting from Long Island NY, I bellied up to the bar last night (Saturday) while waiting for a table. I was with my wife, daughter, and her fiance. The bartender, Bobby, greeted us while he was working on making drinks for another patron at the bar. He introduced himself, and also introduced his other bar mate Lian. My family and I, initially, were only planning on having a few margaritas while we waited to be seated. Being a bartender for almost 30 years, I can’t help myself from observing another bartender work in a busy environment. I gotta tell ya! I was so blown away watching Bobby methodically serve, build cocktails, and greet anyone new at the bar while also being able to create a warm conversation and suggest certain menu items. I was most impressed on how calm and sincere he was to every single guest. Every guest was given the same service! We decided to cancel our reservation on the waitlist in the dining room, and had dinner at the bar. As I said about being in the industry for so many years, I tend to notice little things. But I can’t find one! The food, atmosphere, and service was impeccable. All of us will be back! My daughter helped me set up my google account so I could leave this review. I’m old school and had no idea what i was doing 😆 Surf and turf fajita and Birria tacos were outstanding! Thank you for an amazing night - Jim

  No chips or salsa were brought when we sat down, we had to pay $7 for some. The salsas were all great and the chips were delicious. This was probably the most reasonably priced item on the whole menu, definitely worth it. The black diamond cocktail was pretty good, but the Celeste's Cadillac tasted super watery. Neither were worth the price. The pork belly tacos were very good, the meat had a great flavor. The wet burrito was pretty disappointing. I've had microwaveable rice with more flavor, and the sauce on top was super sweet. After dousing it in the rest of our spiciest salsa, it was okay. Would never order it again. Our server was very friendly, but not very attentive. We were there at a pretty busy time, but my glass was empty more than it was full. I received one refill while waiting on the meal to arrive, and never got another. After finishing our meal, we had to wait about 20 minutes until we finally flagged down the waiter for the check. The atmosphere was the highlight of the experience. Some of the food was great, some of it was pretty bad, the service was horrible. Overall, nowhere near worth the price. Will not be returning.

  1 Star - Absolutely Unacceptable for Large Parties I had one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had at Rocco’s Tacos Delray. We made a reservation for 23 people at 7:00 PM and were told we would have two tables next to each other. When we arrived, we noticed the tables were about 8 feet apart, which already showed poor planning. My wife and I arrived at 7:07 PM and informed the hostess that the rest of our party was running a little late. We were told that was fine, but that more guests would need to arrive before seating us. My entire party and I work in the hospitality industry, so we fully understand restaurant policies, busy-night logistics, and reasonable limitations. By 7:20–7:25 PM, 14 guests from our party had arrived. We asked to be seated. Denied. One table was set for 17 people, the other for 6, and we were told we could not sit at either. By 30 minutes later, we had 19 people present. Still no seating. The restaurant was not busy, and there were multiple empty tables clearly visible. Despite this, we were forced to stand in the front of the restaurant for nearly 50 minutes with no bar seating offered, no partial seating, and no attempt to accommodate us in any way. Once we were finally seated, we noticed the tables were still 8 feet apart, making it impossible for our group to enjoy the experience together. We politely asked if the tables could be moved closer. The answer was no. At this point, since our arrival, every request had been met with “no, no, and no.” No solutions, no flexibility, and absolutely no hospitality. I eventually lost my patience and asked to speak with a manager, because it was clear the hostess staff had no interest in welcoming or helping us. After seating, we were informed of the 4-check maximum policy, which we agreed to and confirmed before ordering. The server assured us this would not be an issue. Ordering and food service went fine. Then came the check. Instead of four checks, one server dropped a single large check on the table and said, “You can split it yourselves.” When I reminded him that we had agreed on four checks beforehand, he responded, “I’m not arguing with you,” dropped the check, and walked away. The other server then had to go around asking each group what they ordered, wasting another hour of our time for absolutely no reason. This restaurant demonstrated, Terrible hostess service, Zero hospitality or flexibility, Poor communication, Unprofessional server behavior If you’re planning a large party, stay far away from this restaurant. This was a frustrating, exhausting experience, and we will never be coming back.
