I will never drink coffee at 3GS, tasted very old and felt like it was heated in the microwave. Breakfast was overall deceiving. I preferred the bread slices thing and I got thick slices which took over half the size of my plate. Honestly, I may not go back to spend my money there

Tried to carry out some soups and salads. The waiter was extremely rude .. while he was talking to me he was doing 2 other things. There was no one there. It was 4:15 pm. He asked me what size soup and I said small he brings it out and it was a quart. He said I thought you said a quart. At that point I was so turned off I said I was leaving. When I asked the cashier what his name was she didn’t answer. When there are so many delis to choose from I will not go back. The customer service needs help.

I know the local elders enjoy it here, but the staff is out of control.
Came in around 4pm to an almost empty restaurant. Told them we were in a rush. They refused to seat my mother until I came in from the car.
After sitting down, we were completely ignored. Asked the host to get our server, he acted like we didn’t exist. When the server finally came over, she started yelling at us.
Food came out fast. Everything else was unacceptable. Rude, hostile staff.

I’m calling this one Scenes From 3G’s because, in the end, I didn’t actually eat here.
I sat down at a table with ten people. I ordered food. I waited. And then I didn’t eat.
3G’s Gourmet Deli is one of those South Florida Jewish delis with a vast, boilerplate menu and a loyal, mostly elderly clientele. If this were a place that actually cooked most of what it serves, this review would read very differently. But it doesn’t — and it’s not trying to hide that fact.
This is a deli built almost entirely on commercial sourcing, primarily from Carnegie, a brand licensed to an Upstate New York–area deli manufacturer (Old World Provisions) whose products dominate Jewish delis, bagel joints, and luncheonettes across South Florida. Pastrami. Corned beef. Chicken soup. Matzo ball soup. Cheesecake. Blintzes. Mustards. Condiments. It’s all there, and it’s all Carnegie.
Many delis use Carnegie products. 3G’s simply commits to the bit.
A closer look at the deli case reveals Sy Ginsberg / EW Grobbel provisions as well — most of them removed from cryovac packaging, just enough to give the impression that something happened between factory and plate. It didn’t.
Here’s what I ordered: a BLT on toasted wheat. The rye — the only thing I actually tasted, along with the pickles — is the familiar “let’s toast it because it’s naturally mushy” variety.
We arrived at 5:30 PM. It took about 15 minutes for the group to order. My sandwich arrived roughly 40 minutes later.
It was cold. Not lukewarm. Not cooling. Cold toast. Cold bacon.
I flagged the waitress and told her the sandwich was cold. She replied, calmly and without irony, that it’s always cold.
That ended the experiment.
I had it taken back, declined to order anything else, said goodbye to the rest of the table, and left. I don’t believe in suffering in silence, and I wasn’t going to wait another 40 minutes for a hamburger just to confirm what was already obvious.
The photos tell the story better than words ever could. This is not a kitchen expressing craft. It’s a showroom of industrial consistency — a place where the supply chain is the cuisine.
And for what it’s worth, the restaurant was absolutely slammed when I walked out at 6:30 PM, leaving nine other people behind. So no, none of this criticism actually matters. The people who go here love it. If you enjoy commercially produced Jewish deli food, sourced from a small handful of major suppliers and delivered with total predictability, you’ll probably be very happy here.
I wasn’t.
I went out for sushi. 🍣

A really, really good kosher style deli. Almost as good as a classic metro NY kosher deli. There’s nothing like or as good as 3G’s in the Tampa/St. Pete area. I hope they would open a place near Tampa. The portions are very big, the cup of soup is more like a bowl size; the sandwiches are over stuffed. If you prefer your sandwich meat on the juicy side ask for “fatty”, which isn’t fatty but juicy otherwise the meat is kind of dry for my liking. There’s no pressure to get you to eat your food and get out like so many other places. The prices are reasonable especially in relation to what you get. To give you an idea, lunch for four of us with soft drinks and desserts was a little less than lunch for two of us at a similar restaurant in Sarasota! If you’re in the area, do have a meal.
