The place is decorated well and the vibes are good but too small and cramped. The staff is good. Only couple of options for vegetarian . Some items are overpriced. They can do a lot better in terms of a menu.

Vibes, immaculate. Food, scrumptious. Service, quick.
If your party isn't all there for your reservation, or if you are waiting on a table, there's a dive bar right downstairs where you can wait. I loved the experience; got a beer that I could bring up to my meal.
I witnessed someone throwing a fit yesterday because he wanted to sit and order before his two friends arrived. That's just not how things are run there. And frankly most DC restaurants have the same policy. He yelled expletives among other things at the host. I assume these are the kind of people claiming bad service.
It doesn't feel like any other DC spot. If you want a regular sit down restaurant with tons of space and tables, go elsewhere; there are tons of those. Come here to be transported.

I want to start by saying the food was fantastic! The Bao Buns, Curry Ramen, and Dan Dan Noodles were all packed with flavor and I would happily order again. This being said, the service was shockingly snarky and rude. The host wasn’t friendly at all. It’s really a shame, because the food was so great! Hopefully it was a one time experience, but it definitely was off putting.

Quite an unwelcoming environment with an unwelcoming hostess. We were warned our time was limited from the get go and sent to our seats with limited interaction. Once we realized the seats weren't bigger people friendly combined with the unpleasantness we experienced on entry we left. We were charged $20/person for a poor experience. That net loss will be worth something if I save you from this experience. Go elsewhere (the dumpling house down the road had nicer staff, ample seating).

Eat here if you like cuddling up shoulder to shoulder with strangers over a bowl of ramen, but don't eat here if you're a married adult, have a family, set personal boundaries, or want to have a private conversation. I would say this place is probably pretty bad place to take a date as well, unless you guys are trying to rub shoulders. The seating arrangements are terrible and are not befitting of a restaurant, which nobody seems to talk about in the reviews. I guess it's mostly kiddos and single people writing the reviews. The reason the seating is so bad is because of the they only have cramped shoulder to shoulder seating on stools facing the wall and your table is like 1 foot long. The back of your head is facing the server when they come by, so you have to do this weird twist to order from the server. Since your whole torso is blocking your table, servers can't tell if you need service. If you want service, you'll have to maintain this awkward twist whilst disturbing the person next to you. This place is alright for kiddies and single people though. Honestly, don't know how this place is going to stay in business once DC stops the free DC streetcar operations, which is what most of this business's clientele probably used since they don't have parking... I guess people can still take the bus to this place, but that's not 'trendy', which is the vibe this restaurant is going for.
