  I ordered chocolate almond croissant and pumpkin pie latte ( tasted exactly like pie maybe not my thing but it was nice ) . The people were super friendly and nice . Would definitely come back to try other bakery items.

  I decided to give Maman a try after recently getting the toogoodtogo app. I lucked out because there were two bags left on the app, so I immediately reserved mine. I was running a bit late and arrived at the store around 5:06, just to realize that they were closing. The very kind lady and the guy working thankfully still let me pick up my order. Since the pastries were being packed away as I walked in, I even got to choose which pastries I wanted. Everything looked amazing and I'm very indecisive, so I let them pick for me. One thing I knew for sure was that I wanted a cinnamon roll because they look FAB. I checked my bag and I got the pistachio croissant, orange pistachio olive oil tea cake, cinnamon roll, and the spiced apple danish with cinnamon crumble. Anyway, I just tried all of the pastries I received and I have a WHOLE LOT to say (proceed with patience...or not). I started with the one I was less excited about, which was the orange pistachio cake because I'm not particularly a fan of whole nuts on/in pastries. However, I was pleased with the flavor and texture of this cake. I really appreciate the flavor profiles from the orange and the filling, which tastes like marzipan to me. This is truly a great treat to enjoy alongside a nice cup of tea. The next pastry I tried was the pistachio croissant. The first thing I noticed while picking it up was how soft it is. It's very delicate and has a super nice texture to it. The cream has a mellow pistachio flavor, but also another flavor that I can't really pinpoint. The cream wasn't my favorite, and to be fair, I don't like cream-filled things in general; however, I loved the croissant itself. I tried the spiced apple danish next and it was very tender. I love the layers and the delicious cinnamon crumble. There is a thin layer of vanilla custard that tastes like vanilla bean ice cream. The apples are perfectly spiced with cinnamon and all the textures incorporate really nicely. Naturally, I saved the best for last (the cinnamon bun). I am a cinnamon roll connoisseur, so I was extremely excited for this. The flavor nearly blew me away. When you bite into it, you get a slight crunch from the exterior and then the soft interior follows. The cinnamon flavor is so strong and intense in a really beautiful way. I just have to add that I hate getting anything that has cinnamon where the cinnamon flavor is lacking. I am a cinnamon lover and this is PERFECTION. The top is sort of caramelized from the butter and sugar, so it adds a wonderful texture and gooeyness. I genuinely almost fell out of my chair eating this. My favorite DC cinnamon roll used to be from Fresh Baguette, but this beats any cinnamon roll I've ever had. Now I will be coming here for my cinnamon roll fix or any pastry fix at that. I'll definitely be ordering from here on toogoodtogo again and y'all will be seeing my face again soon. Also, the employees asked me to write a review, but I couldn't do it from my phone, so I said I'd do it on my laptop once I got home. I promised them I would do it and after trying everything, I've never wanted to write a review more! I hope they see this and continue to receive a lot of love and support! Maman I love you <3

  Worst espresso I've ever had. Maybe I just didn't like the beans, but with the French name I was expecting something close to French coffee. Way to much fruit overtone and sour. Pain au chocolat was small, Meriem lamination and very médiocre.

  I found this little gem of a a cafe and honestly, some of the coolest vibes and creations along with amazing customer service. Davina and Fred have serviced me the past few times i have been and they’ve been so awesome in their service, swiftness and overall kindness. This is what customer service is all about and I really do hope they get recognized for their work. Thank you guys!! Will continue to stop by for my morning Vanilla Latte!!

  This Petite Maman is the best place for coffee, sandwiches, and dessert. The coffee made by Mr. Windfrey is the main reason I am a regular. The service across all levels is Michelin quality in terms of attention and courtesy. For food, I highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwiches and the Nutella beignet.
