It takes far too long for a simple takeout order, the front of house is either nonexistent or clueless, the food is super expensive, and the portions are tiny. Is it good? Yeah, sure. Their salsas and guacamole are excellent, but you also pay at minimum $8 for a side of anything. One could easily believe they are actively discouraging takeout business. But given that that place is a ghost town whenever I walk in, they need all the business they can get. I want to support this place as it used to be a good local hang. But you can get better and cheaper elsewhere.

When we asked for salsa it was an up charge. Service was slow and we weren’t even asked if we wanted a second round of drinks. We would have if they came back in a reasonable amount of time. The curry mussels were yummy with the blue cornbread.

I can highly recommend the short rib w/ mole verde, yucca fries, plantains, and tres leches cake! The sangria is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had - bar none! Getting a pitcher for the crew is a total move 😋All the food had a full flavor profile that was really noticeable - you can tell it’s top quality.
