  The food is decent at best. I had the omelette which came topped with a lightly dressed salad. So the top half of the salad was great, the other half was cooked since it had been in contact with the warm eggs and the middle of the omelette was slightly soggy. The omelette had zero seasoning except for the salt in the gruyere. My partner had a breakfast sandwich that had candied bacon. Sickeningly sweet. Highlight of the meal was the café et noisette. Delicious. It's a pretty spot but cramped. Tiny tables and a bit loud. If that's your jam, more power to you.

  It pains me to say this, but I may not be going back to Maman anytime soon 🙁. The atmosphere is delightful and the service is good, but I am not impressed with their food. I tried two different sandwiches at the Georgetown location and felt they are far too sweet. One had a spicy ketchup [which tasted more sweet and not spicy], the other had too many caramelized onions, which were again too sweet. The sweetness overpowered any other flavor in both sandwiches. It's clear they aim to have elevated food choices, but simplicity would go a long way in this case. I also had a flat white which was quite good and served in a pretty cup. My partner ordered a double espresso, that was horrendously bitter, and most likely over-extracted. Overall, I don't want to deter others from trying this beautiful cafe, but I feel the food and coffee could use improvement.

  It’s a comfy day for a walk in the City, and I was in the mood for a Mocha. I walked into this location and it is much nicer with a myriad of food items than its small locations. First choice is to always get something I can’t find elsewhere — that was the Kitchen Sink Cookie. It looked so good I ordered two of them. And because I will be walking more than 10 miles today, I also ordered two Chocolate Chip Nut Cookies and one Nutella Brownie to go. Although I lost my mind just thinking about the brownie, I nibbled on the Kitchen Sink Cookie with the Mocha. I really like this Maman for its location, food and drink options, nice service, and seating options. I’m sure I’ll be back … soon!

  The cafe is very lovely, but otherwise highly overrated. The food was just okay, but overpriced. Heavy on the mustard in a potato gratin with a very over-baked crust. Drinks were watered down and we ordered a chocolate chip cookie, which would have been better if it was warmed for even ten seconds. The servers seemed either exhausted or bored, but they definitely weren’t thrilled to be there. No wait, but could only get “bar seating” which was very cramped if near a table. I honestly don’t know how they could fit people in some of the spots without asking people at tables to move. Bathrooms were a mess. Paper everywhere and no hooks for a coat or bag. I would not go back when there are so many better choices close by. Instagram worthy does not make it worth the time or money. Very disappointing.

  This place is always packed with lines out the door every time I walk by where I never had the chance to sit down and enjoy their dishes inside until now. I have only ordered iced teas to go. My Mom and I were incredibly lucky to be seated right away as soon as we arrived in the late afternoon on a Saturday over the holidays. That’s unheard of during their peak busy seasons. Our server, Dixon, was friendly, attentive, patient, polite and glowed with a big smile. The cafe itself is adorable and extends far into the back of the building. We were toasty warm seated towards the middle of the cafe past the main register where the deserts are on display. We ordered a few small plates, a chocolate pistachio croissant, cappuccino, and Matcha latte. The Matcha latte came in one size and was huge - I’m guessing 16 ounces. I wasn’t expecting such a large drink. My Mom said her cappuccino was delicious. The croissant was warmed up where the chocolate melted to give it an extra satisfying kick. We were pleased with everything we ordered and this will definitely be a return trip.
