Went for the unlimited brunch. Service was excellent. Food was good, but nothing exceptional. The fish was just ok, and the selection was good, but also not exceptional. I would call the fish 'high-buffet-quality'. I've been to hundreds of sushi restaurants (and I used to live in Japan), and this fish is somewhere near the mid-tier sushi restaurant quality (somewhere you'd pay $18 a roll for, if that makes sense). Still, this is a decent experience for sushi with the AYCE, but honestly, there are a ton of AYCE sushi restaurants in the DC area that are a fraction of the price and have better fish. They also had a lot of rice on the nigiri, way more than they should, seemingly to fill you up. The Nobu premium is understandable and the ambiance is nice, but nothing really memorable or truly exceptional. This place is really for wealthy people who want to flaunt the Nobu experience and status that goes with going there. We had a good experience, but I definitely don't need to go back.

Almost everything was as expected. Good but pricey. I recommend sticking to whatever the server recommends cause those dishes like the bass and sashimi were great. We unfortunately decided to go rougue and try the chicken teriyaki which took an incredibly long amount of time to come out and it didn’t help that after it took a while after we finished the last dish before he said “it’ll be shortly” only for us to wait another 15 mins. Once we got chicken it almost tasted rotten and this was the first dish I ever sent back which honestly I was nervous about but our server was actually nice about it and asked what was wrong.

It was a fun experience for a group of 7. We came for the Sunday brunch. Food selection was good. The best part of the meal was dessert. The worst was being charged $10/bottle for 3 bottles of sparkling water that we didn’t order and didn’t get. My fault for not looking closer at the bill.

I’d like to share my reservation experience, as this was my very first time booking with Nobu.
I had a reservation, but unfortunately my boyfriend—the person who made the reservation—became sick the day before. I understand this was a last-minute change, but when I contacted customer service, I was placed on hold for over 40 minutes just to speak with someone.
I’m aware of the $150 penalty for cancellations within 48 hours. However, this situation involved illness, and I felt it was more responsible to stay home rather than dine out while coughing and potentially exposing others.
I want to be clear that this review is purely about the customer service experience at the DC location—not the food, not the atmosphere, and not the restaurant itself. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable; I was simply trying to handle the situation safely and responsibly. The biggest issue was how difficult it was to reach anyone for assistance.

I heard this place was a “luxury” sushi spot, and they do an all-you-can-eat brunch on weekends, so it’s really hard to get a reservation. We finally managed to book a spot, but honestly… it was such a disappointment.
There was nothing luxurious about the experience. It was extremely loud, and even with a reservation we had to wait a long time just to be seated. There were people like us just standing around waiting. The sushi itself was very average, and there weren’t many options at all. I would’ve rather gone to a good local sushi restaurant instead.
Overall, not worth the hype. I regret coming here.
