  Great coffee and pastries, conveniently located near the hotel we were staying at. Inside was beautiful, and service was very good. My only complaint was that my quiche Ella (cheddar cheese, leaks, caramelized onions), was almost too sweet. Not sure if that was just the onions, though. Delicious croissants.

  I LOVE maman! in Navy Yard The estee’s breakfast sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich of my life! Love the decor & the ambience. Andres is always so lovely and a joy! And I was helped by David today too, for the first time. He was so friendly, helpful, and had excellent customer service skills. A perfect experience all around! My friends were very impressed and sad that they don’t live in DC. They want more maman in their lives!

  Food, service and atmosphere were phenomenal. We ordered the Papas Bowl no arugula, the Ella quiche, chocolate brioche, and vegan pumpkin spice cake, and two beverages. Everything was fresh and exceeded our expectations. I had the corn bread vanilla butter latte and my wife ordered Martha's pumpkin spice latte. The vibe is very chill and the place is pristine. 10 out 10

  Mamans food and coffee is absolutely fantastic, if not a touch overpriced, but not anymore so than other then other specialty coffee restaurants nearby. However, their order situation is confusing at best. You're handed a placard with a number on it that's supposed to be set on the table you're sitting, however, your food and drink is called for at the bar? This was not very clearly explained on my first time and resulted in me being confused and receiving a cold (albeit delicious) cup of coffee. Also anytime I have gone there during the week with the expectation of being able to work or at least send a couple emails the Wi-Fi has just not worked at all. Well this might be a small issue to some, I personally feel like solid high quality internet access is necessary for any coffee establishment which works as hard as Maman to create the atmosphere they have. Will probably not be returning to Maman if I'm uncertain I'll be able to log into Google docs for a copy edit over a tahini latte.

  This is SUCH an adorable space—just walking in made me excited to get some work done. People trying to order at the counter had split into two forked lines, so I had a hard time knowing where I should stand and wait. I loved how many gluten free options there were, and I ordered Caitlin's Breakfast Wrap. Unfortunately, the wrap came smothered in aioli, even though the menu said that the aioli came on the side—this made it unappetizing for me. I would have asked for no aioli on the wrap if I had known. Also, the internet in here was pretty bad. It was faster to just use my hotspot.
