The Danbury Outback Steakhouse (closer to where I live) disappeared many years ago, so it was a treat to rediscover this franchise! There wasn't a long wait for a table even though we were a large group. Will be back again, was good & kid friendly.

The food was delicious. Yes it was. The steak the pork chop the loaded potatoe the big fat asparagus everything was everything. That food was hitting. Compliments to the chef. This place has stepped their game up… happy eating folks. Taylor was the server she made a banging drink. She put her foot in that drink. Nice to have a skilled mixologist. Great job Taylor. Very welcoming service. Great large mozzarella sticks.

Super happy to have this continuing to thrive in Wilton for 25 yrs or so. The ratings are no joke. Some good food at excellent prices comparatively speaking. Staff always helpful.

Came here with my family for the first time and overall had a great experience. We were seated right away, the restaurant was clean, well lit, and had a comfortable vibe. Our waiter, Christian, was excellent. Friendly, patient, personable, and genuinely helpful. His recommendations were on point and definitely elevated the meal. I ordered the 15 oz Delmonico steak with garlic butter on the side, mac and cheese, and a loaded baked potato with bacon, sour cream, and chives. The steak was the star. Flavorful, savory, perfectly cooked, and a great portion size. The baked potato was also very good and cooked just right. The mac and cheese had great flavor and a nice peppery kick, which I loved, but unfortunately it was not hot. To be fair, none of the mac and cheese that came to the table was hot. For drinks, I had the Gingerbread Martini. Sweet, smooth, and not too strong, which worked perfectly. It even came with a gingerbread cookie that melted into the drink and made it even better. At the table we also had the 6 oz filet mignon with lobster tail, which was very good, and the Kingsland Pasta. My daughter said her steak was incredibly tender and called the pasta out of this world. We also shared the Down Under Trio Platter. The fried mozzarella Bloomerangs were delicious, the Aussie cheese fries were very good, and the Bloomin’ Onion petals were my least favorite but still solid. Overall, everything was good. My only real critiques were that the mac and cheese was not hot and some dishes leaned a bit salty. That said, we would absolutely come back. Next time, I’m eyeing the Kookaburra Wings, 20 oz bone-in ribeye, chimichurri filet, homestyle mashed potatoes, seasoned rice, Tasmanian chili, blue cheese wedge salad, baked potato soup, Bloomin’ Burger, and definitely dessert like the Chocolate Tower for Two or Chocolate Thunder From Down Under.

My husband and I had lunch today, Saturday, Nov 22, 2025 at the Outback at 14 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT. We sat at the bar. The food was excellent. Both my husband and I had a steak with sides and we were very happy with our meal and the young man that waited on us. The young man was also the bartender and was also waiting on the other tables in the dining room, making drinks and changing a keg. What bothered me and why I am writing this review is that I am a huge Outback fan. We used to have an Outback in Danbury, CT, but it closed so whenever are in Wilton we try to go to the Outback there. The young man that waited on us was very polite and was working very hard while other employees were sitting in a booth in the bar area talking, laughing loudly and doing very little to assist with the customers in the restaurant or the young man, our server. These workers were very unprofessional, laughing loudly and just not giving the restaurant atmosphere a good impression. The manager was also sitting there talking with a friend who had come in for take out. I felt bad for the young man waiting on us and unfortunately I did not get his name. He needed help, and the manager and other employees seemed not to care. With Outback closing so many restaurants, I hope someone from “Bloomin Brands” takes notice of my review and makes some changes with the help.i do not want to see another OutBack close.if employees are on a break, find them a place to sit in the back, away from the customers.
