Absolutely unacceptable experience at this McDonald’s, thanks to the morning drive-thru lady. I sat at the ordering speaker for an absurd amount of time with complete silence. I kept saying “hello” just to see if anyone was there, and when she finally responded, she yelled at me because she was annoyed. Once I reached the window I asked for her name she told me it was Nadia, but of course she gave me the wrong name her actual name is Vhadra. It’s not the first time she’s been rude to me.
The attitude didn’t improve from there—rude, impatient, and clearly uninterested in doing her job. To make matters worse, there’s a sign at the window with the manager’s name and phone number asking customers to call about their experience. I did exactly that, left a detailed voicemail, and never received a call back.
Between the hostile drive-thru service and management completely ignoring a customer complaint, it’s clear this location doesn’t care about basic customer service or accountability. I won’t be back.

Your management really needs to take a look at the way your staff treats people standing up here waiting on orders. Like they are invisible. That goes for mobile orders, door dash, uber eats etc.... they leave you standing there like an idiot while they do their very best to ignore you. Look at your cameras, especially at night. I just had to get nasty with an employee who ignored me 3 times when I tried to politely get her attention.
You might think that delivery drivers don't matter since it's not our money being spent.... but it's gonna suck for you if people stop taking your orders and delivering them. I almost walked out and left this persons food on the counter. I will be reporting this to DoorDash. Enough people do that and you'll lose your delivery all together.

We’ve been visiting the McDonald’s in Hamden quite regularly, usually after my daughter’s swimming classes in the same plaza. The food is generally good, and we’ve never had issues with our orders, which is why I’m giving it two stars.
However, we’ve faced several concerning issues. There have been repeated instances of homeless individuals begging for money both outside and inside the restaurant. A couple of weeks ago, we had a very troubling incident where a man was acting inappropriately and staring at children at the playscape, which led us to call the police.
Yesterday, we also encountered discomfort with a homeless person inside, wearing a ski mask and hat, who stared at us during our meal and intimidated our daughter while she played. This made us feel unsafe and concerned for our family’s well-being.
Additionally, the playscape area is often uncomfortably cold, sometimes around 45°F, which makes it difficult for kids to enjoy their time.
We strongly recommend that management address these safety concerns and improve the heating in the playscape area. We hope the establishment takes these matters seriously for the safety and comfort of all guests.

This used to be (but isn't anymore) a really nice place to spend time with kids and have a fun lunch or breakfast. Now it's awful! I don't recommend it. They don't turn on the heat so people just buy things and leave. The kids can't always use the play area because it's freezing cold there. They do this so the kids don't spend too much time there either. This place is truly horrible in winter. I don't recommend it.
