Hello world! My name is Ollie Holdstock and am the proud owner of the "Route 6 Cafe"
I moved to the states in 1981 and travelled from Key West FLA to La Jolla CA looking for a place to call home and settle. In 1983 I discovered Vail Colorado, it was a small intimate place at the time, I was welcomed with open arms, the rest is history. I have always worked in the service industry since in the USA, I love what I do and where I live, what a privilage it is.
We have been serving the locals and tourists at the Route 6 for the past 16 years and our menu has become as diverse as our customers. Serving Breakfast all day had been our main attraction for many years but in 2012, we moved our location across the street to a much larger facility enabling us to expand our business into Dinner and Entertainment.
Breakfast starts at 7 am and runs till 3 pm. Lunch starts at 11 am and Dinner at 5 pm. Happy Hour goes from 3 till 6 pm
I must mention that we are not just a groovy Restaurant and Bar with one of the nicest DINING PATIOS in the valley, we also offer a relaxed couch laden lounge with multiple TV's, pool tables, darts and pinball. The little ones even have their own play area to hang out in giving Mum & Dad some quiet time. Live music is now a common place at the Route 6, Wednesday is Karaoke, Thursday is open mike, Friday is the Saxaphone of the Sam-B Trio, Saturday is Latino Americano Dance and on Sundays the Vail Valley Band plays featuring Don Watson and Beth Sweringen. Always check our facebook page for any additional events.
So if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy some HEALTHY home style food with that gourmet option, you have found the right place.

Just had a juicy, perfectly cooked steak, nice glass of wine. This place is so good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Always great service and you can tell the cooks cook the food with love. Best place to have a lowkey-local meal without spening hundreds of dollars in Vail. Highly recommend!!!!
