This McDonald’s is a textbook example of what happens when leadership completely fails.
After eating at this location, I became violently ill with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. What makes this far worse is that during my visit I personally observed serious food safety issues that should never exist in a restaurant open to the public. This wasn’t a one-off mistake it was clear this store is poorly run, poorly supervised, and completely lacking standards.
The biggest issue here is management, specifically the General Manager. I made the responsible decision to speak with him directly. I calmly explained what happened and identified myself as someone with professional food safety experience. Instead of concern, urgency, or accountability, I was met with rudeness, arrogance, and complete indifference.
The GM:
• Showed zero concern about a food poisoning complaint
• Was dismissive and unprofessional
• Took no responsibility for the operation of his store
• Acted as if guest health and safety were irrelevant
This is not just bad customer service this is dangerous leadership. When the person in charge doesn’t care about food safety, the entire store reflects it. And it does. From the way food is handled to the lack of urgency from staff, this location operates like no one is being held accountable.
Because of how poorly this was handled and how serious the issue is, I have already contacted the Orange County Health Department and reported this location so an inspector can evaluate what is clearly a failing operation. No customer should get sick and then be brushed off by management like it’s nothing.
McDonald’s is supposed to have systems, standards, and leadership. This location has none of that. What it does have is a GM who clearly should not be running a food establishment and a store culture that reflects neglect, laziness, and lack of care for the public.
Until there is a complete management overhaul and real accountability, I strongly advise people not to eat here. Your health is not worth the risk.

Worst McDonald's on the planet for customer service. I've been coming here almost daily for a frappe for someone. EVERY time, there is no one tending the register to take your order. It's a ten minute wait. No one says anything and half the time I have to walk toward the back to ask if we can be helped. Figure it out!
