Lee’s Sandwiches is the product of the merging of ideas and family support. Chieu Le, the founder, came to America and settled in San Jose, CA in 1980. He began taking adult education classes to study English and frequently bought food from a catering truck before and after class. Seeing the potential of a portable food service vehicle, Chieu Le worked on a catering truck to better understand the business. By 1981, he bought his first catering truck and started his route around San Jose.

I was greeted and waited on right away, the gentleman that helped me was polite, the BBQ pork sandwich was tasty and long, the iced Vietnamese coffee original was so good ( first time trying VC). My bahn mi had a lot of meat on it, and a good amount of vegetables too, the bread tasted fresh. The iced coffee tasted so good, but I paid for it later (jittery), because it ended up being too strong for me I think...I see others complaining about the amount of ice, but Vietnamese coffee needs to be diluted, especially if you arent use to that much caffeine. The place was clean. My order came out to 16 something with a tip included. I was able to park right in front. There is plenty of seating inside, if you wish to dine in, however, I took my order to go.
