I brought a group of friends there for dinner last Saturday night to celebrate my birthday and I was expecting good food. Everyone else’s meals were great. One of my friends and I each ordered fish and chips. It was the worst fish and chips either of us had ever eaten. It was chewy and hard. It seemed like the batter was burnt, which made the fish inside really overcooked. I couldn’t eat it. I even tried to scrape the fish out, but it was so overcooked that it wasn’t scraping off of the batter. It was disappointing because it’s expensive to eat out these days and this was for a special occasion. Perhaps we should’ve said something then and there, but we had an event to get to and we were sort of in a rush. At least the fries and my apple cider-tinis were good, and our server was very friendly and attentive.

The server she was very attentive, as well as the manager. Unfortunately, the food fell short. The spinach dip was horrible, the pot pie was just okay. The crust looked flaky and fluffy but it was really tough that I had to cut it and I had a difficult time chewing it. We also had pasta that lacked flavor. The entire dinner was very disappointing.

Specifically, we had a Caesar salad that we were so excited about! It was a real, classic, anchovy-y salad that was as good as I’ve had in forever. Everything we had was very good, but that salad was something special. It was a great example of the attention to detail of the place, which included very attentive service. When I have a meal like that, I feel it is my duty to spread the word.
