  We have been here several times. Each and every time we not only get exceptional service, but the sushi/food is always amazing. The manager, is extremely attentive and cares about his customers. Plus the Happy Hour prices are phenomenal! The sauces, the rolls, the appetizers 🤤 This is a hidden gem. They also won best sushi spot in Carmichael for 2025, which speaks for itself. Our favorites are the fried calamari (best we’ve ever had), Lion king roll, and the golden one roll! I will highly recommend this spot to anyone. Yes, I stand by my 5 stars.

  We dined 45 minutes before closing time. The sushi rolls arrived super fast! They had lovely, almost private booths on one side of the restaurant. After we finished, we paid at the hostess’s register and left as they were already tidying up for the night.

  We ordered two sushi boats from here for a surprise birthday party, and they were so delicious and very reasonably priced You can just call them to order ahead and pick up the boats, they help you load it in the car and just make sure you return them the next day Everything was super fresh and your sushi rolls were bomb

  I honestly was surprised by this place. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. We ordered a medium sushimi plate. Absolutely phenomenal. The salmon cuts were some of the favorite that I’ve had. I loved the sauce pairing. The eel hand roll was portioned really well. The Alex roll was really enjoyable. Extra points for using soft shell crab. Only critique is the garlic was over done. Loved our server. He was patient and got us everything we needed. I think his name was Daniel. This is my new favorite find and will absolutely be back.

  Shogun Sushi is hands down one of the best sushi spots around! Every visit is an amazing experience, from the food to the atmosphere. Their specialty rolls are outstanding—the Linet Special and Mikey Special are absolute must-tries, packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The fireball roll is a showstopper and literally comes out in flames, making it just as exciting to watch as it is to eat. We ordered a sushi boat, outstanding and delicious as always. The omakase sashimi is incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, showcasing the chefs’ true skill. It’s no surprise they won Best Sushi of Carmichael in 2025—they truly deserve the recognition. What really makes Shogun Sushi special, though, is the people. Alex, the owner, is fantastic, and he and his wife are some of the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll meet. They make you feel like family every time you walk in. If you’re looking for top-quality sushi, great service, and a memorable dining experience, Shogun Sushi is the place to go! 🍣🔥
