Visited Big Bear today with my family and tried this ice cream shop for the first time, we usually visit the other ice cream shop down the street in the village with our kids but this one had a shorter line today and we will definitely be back!!! The staff (especially the manger!) were so kind and sweet. Really welcoming experience all around and glad to see this addition to the big bear village! 🥰

I rarely write reviews, but I felt it was important to share our experience.
We visited this ice cream shop recently as a party of six during what was clearly a busy time. (8p.m. with maybe around 10 customers total but not rush hour).
We completely understand total that Saturday nights can be stressful—but that does not excuse rude or disrespectful behavior from staff.
There were four employees helping customers and two of them were helping us. One of them—a man with black hair—was polite, patient, and professional. He treated us with respect, answered questions, and helped keep things moving. He’s the only reason this review isn’t one star.
Unfortunately, the older man with white hair and a white beard who assisted us left a very negative impression. He appeared visibly frustrated, didn’t even try to hide it, and at one point, while taking our order, literally said “Oh Jesus” in an irritated tone with an angry expression—right in front of us. It was rude, unnecessary, and made me feel uncomfortable.
We weren’t being difficult—we were just ordering ice cream like anyone else. I don’t care how busy it gets, treating customers like they’re a burden is never okay. If handling a larger group during peak hours is such a problem, then maybe management needs to reassess staffing or training—because this was not it.
We came here for a treat and left feeling like we were a problem. Respect and patience go a long way. Thankfully, the younger employee had both.
