Irine has great customer service. She is fast at making and serving coffee, and she knows how to talk to customers in a friendly way. I also appreciate her proper hygiene. Even when it’s very busy, she still washes her hands after taking orders and handling money before preparing the food. McDonald’s is lucky to have her!

Busy spot, especially around weekend bar rush time (very entertaining time to get a big Mac), but prompt and competent service. Eat in / Dine out: I dunno, either option is a nightmare. Most of the few tables downstairs are for six people which means awkward social courtesies (the outlets just under the the table tops don't work), leaving a giant service vacuum right where the drive thru should be but isn't... just next to the upstairs dining room - which I have yet to lay eyes on, but presumably has better seating options than,'with strangers' or 'alone in the cold'. Parking: if they have no space for a drive thru, they definitely won't be wasting money on real estate for parking spaces. I would park under the provincial courts / Robson square (entrance on Howe street just before Nelson Ave) or possibly on Seymour for city parking, or you could try one of the courtesy spots in behind 7-11 at the southeast corner of Granvilla and Drake.. personally I'd probably chance it parking behind the restaurant in the alley for 10 - 15 mins with my 4 ways on. I'm not sure how accessible the place is, but definitely has a ground level entrance from the sidewalk on Granville but the there's no elevator to the upstairs VIP lounge. If the front door even has a door opener, it's probably broken and if not, they should get one; you'll likely need someone to hold the door for you if you're wheelchair or walker-dependant. I haven't had the opportunity to use the restroom facilities but they're always locked and need a staffer to let you in. If I had to speculate... Id say they're probably in a pretty rough state, though clean apart from some quotable graffiti. I've only eaten breakfast and apple pie (for breakfast) here, but the pies were tender, fresh and flaky, unlike most McDonald's locations which serve them overcooked and stale. tl;dr: worth it for the people watching, but leave the car at home and crush a couple extra drinks at the bar before stopping here for apple-pie-I-won't-remember time.

home of homeless people. At the same time, I could not see any homeless people at the Popeyes which is right next door. McDonald's should do something about homeless people.

The security at this location was absolutely disrespectful, he was racially profiling people coming in and while my girlfriend was in the bathroom he was starring directly into the women’s room, it was disgusting and a total abuse of power. The McDonalds was like any McDonald but the security guard needs to be fired. He was working there at 6:30am on November 1st.

I was really amazed by the manager, Xil, because of her name tag. I was having a hard time ordering since I’m not very good at speaking English, so I used a translator and showed it to her. But I was so surprised when I found out she could speak Spanish! That was so impressive and I felt really lucky. I usually get nervous when ordering at McDonald’s because of the language, but Xil is very fluent in Spanish and she’s also very funny — it made me want to keep coming back. While I was waiting for my order, there was another customer who was having trouble speaking English too — I think they were Chinese — and I was amazed again because Xil also spoke Chinese! I listened to them talk and thought, wow, she’s so smart. So I asked about her because I was really curious. When I found out she’s Filipino, I was shocked — wow 🤩! I don’t understand why someone like her is working at McDonald’s when she can speak so different languages. I would give her 100 stars ⭐️ for that!
