I used the coupon for 4 bags of Simply Ruffles Sea Salt chips for $2.50 each for my Drive Up And Go order, but when I went to pick up the order, discovered Safeway was only providing me 2 bags but still charging me $10. When I asked to add 2 bags of another kinds of chips Lays Simply Sea Salt that were included in the coupon for Mix & Match, the employee providing the order refused and said only his manager can do that and that his manager is not there. When I asked the Customer Service agent if I could accept the pickup order and just return the 2 bags of Ruffles he refused. Since there was no resolution offered, I refused the entire pickup order and left. It isn't about the money, it is the principle: this was a Bait & Switch Price Gouge. If the website offers me a coupon for 4 bags of chips for half price and requires me to buy 4, and I do, but the store is out of stock and can only provide 2 bags, and forces me to pay full price for the 2 bags, then there needs to be a way for me to refuse the chips, whether during pickup (like any walmart pick up employee can do) or I should at least be allowed to return the items in which the coupon did not apply to through no fault of my own. At the Flagstaff Safeway, they allow me to return any items from my pickup order during the pickup, for example when the chips are busted open or the kombucha isn't cold. But neither the pickup employee nor the customer service employee were willing to do any kind of resolution to this glitch in the coupon system. If the coupon requires me to buy 4 chips, and they only have 2, making me pay the same price for 2 bags as I would have for 4, the ordering system should not just force me to buy the 2 bags at full price if I don't want to. The entire Safeway coupon system is garbage, and almost never works correctly in store which is the only reason I place online pickup orders, to ensure the coupons actually work, but in this case the system itself tried to do a bait and switch price gouge coupon denial to me just because they only had 2 bags instead of 4 bags of chips. I refused the entire order, and will just fast awhile, because I would rather starve than be price gouged bait and switched by this monopoly on groceries in the Williams region. I am boycotting Safeway for 6 months to a year over this unresolved issue and lack of logistics in stocking items listed as available for ordering, and due to the lack of hiring skill to get employees who can resolve issues without entire order refusal. I am a deal shopper and the only reason I even placed the order is for the online coupons, which already require me to click like 6 things for each coupon, takes forever. If Safeway wants my business, they have to get their programmers to fix this type of coupon glitch that tries to force me to buy items at full price or not receive my order at all. Their produce is also all moldy some days, they do not reply to Contact Us email forms, and their phone customer service goes to the Phillipeans. All of this signifies a severe management problem. The managers ought to go to college in a city that values customers and considers the customer is always right. Then this Williams Safeway could be run properly. Would give 1 star, but algorithms don't post 1 star reviews much. Don't do business with bad people. Order groceries by mail if you must.

Decent grocery store shopping experience, had everything we needed and more. Prices were a tad bit on the pricey side but since it's basically the only game in town, I understand. Would come back and shop if in the grand canyon area.
