- CMChristel Mayer3 days ago1.0I called this Safeway to make a groceries delivery since I just had surgery and am w/o car. It was supposed to be a delivery! They did NOT mention that the store doesn’t deliver and placed it on pick up. I was supposed to pick it up. I couldn’t. I can’t drive and have no one in my co op to help out. They then used my credit card which they have NO permission for, charged the groceries onto my credit card ( all so much cheaper in the store- very marked up). Then I got a charge from Uber cab for a no show for $ 5 taken out of my account also. I have many words for this unethical capitalistic behavior but spare myself from getting more upset. This will have to be dealt with at the Safeway store tomorrow. I will get legal help with that. Charges - no groceries- and interest charges. This is unbelievable‼️

- NDNichole DriverDec 30, 20251.0Went to the deli to ask if they were making anymore Italian subs. I saw she was making subs and ask if she could make an Italian sub so I could purchase it. She said she would make it in 5 to 10 minutes, I said perfect. So about less then a minute later she turned to me and said no she wouldn't be making them until later. Rude, very poor customer service. She was an older woman working in the deli on Dec. 30th, 2025 at approximately 11:30 am. We were the only ones at the deli at the time. So it wasn't like she had customers. Very disappointed.

For months several of their lights are blown out, making the crossing paths to the front door very dark after sunset. Tonight I was almost hit by a car speeding through the parking lot. Their excuse was "They couldn't see me." This is a fixable problem for safeway by replacing all of their burnt out light bulbs before they get sued from a customer getting seriously injured or killed due to lack of proper lighting. I also 1000% agree with other reviews stating that this location targets people of color, following paying customers around the store. I shop there for doordash customers and the security guard tried to stop me from getting ice because it was at the front of the store and she assumed I was trying to steal the items in my cart when I clearly have my phone out scanning barcodes.
- RRrichardDec 29, 20255.0My shopping experiences at the Broadway Cambell plaza Safeway have been pleasant. The store is clean and easy to navigate. If I am not able to find something, the staff is friendly and informative. Among the reasons I shop at this Safeway, friendly staff, fresh produce, refundable dairy containers, fresh meat cuts, prepared meals, health foods, coffee shop, deli, and bakery. I enjoy the in store shopping experience. However they have DUG (drive up and go) those associates are well organized, fast, informative, and friendly. This Safeway will always be my store as long as I live in Tucson. Thanks Safeway on Broadway!
