This is the 3rd time I had to wait for anyone to show up to open the cabinet for the liquid and it was my last. 15min last I was still waiting after getting 2 employee to call for someone. Will probably never return to this store again. The lines are insanely long and staff is pretty non-existent.

The self checkout lady is judgey and rude and I have no desire to shop at that place ever again. Ana is her name. Forgot my debit card and she scolded me for trying to use Apple Pay cause the machines weren’t able to handle it. Then had things to say about me showing up for a second time which happened to be the next day. People go to the grocery store multiple times a day sometimes and it’s not weird to go the next day and someone shouldn’t feel like crap for doing so. She’s awful and bitter and crappy and shouldn’t deal with the public

If I could give it a lower rating I would this store has the WORST employees and management shoppers could ever see Managers are constantly harassing shoppers with no good reason and when confronted they use the word "shoplifting" as a dog whistle if not literally calling for security to kick them out, I've seen a manager take a homeless guy's personal belongings over 3 jack link's and not to mention employees will literally target people of color and accuse them of stealing like one employee did to a Hispanic older lady that DIDN'T EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH it a bilingual security guard to translate what the lady was saying and she even had receipt of the purchase it's a terrible store and that store director doesn't act or care he simply says "I'll take care of it" and never does nothing to change his employees attitudes

I visited Safeway on Tuesday afternoon to purchase the $0.09 sale Maurchan Ramen that we rely on for our kids’ food‑pantry program. The ramen is inexpensive but very fragile, and we need the packets intact so we can distribute them to families without waste. During checkout, the cashier, named Denisa, did not greet me or engage in any conversation. After ringing up my first set of items, she slammed the second purchase on top of the first without checking whether the ramen packets were still sealed and not broken. Because the ramen packaging is delicate, slamming the purchases caused several packets to break. When I pointed out that the ramen is fragile and asked her to handle the items more carefully, she gave me a look of distaste and did not respond. I understand that busy stores can be stressful, but courteous service is especially important when customers are buying low‑cost, essential items for a charitable program. The rushed and dismissive attitude made the shopping trip difficult and risked wasting food that our pantry needs for children. I hope Safeway Management can remind staff that respectful interaction and careful handling of fragile items are part of good customer service, particularly for shoppers who are supporting community programs.
