  My husband and I have lived in Moon Valley for close to 25 years. We have celebrated many milestones there with friends and family. I celebrated my 50th birthday there. Our kids used to be daily regulars there when they were first old enough to consume alcohol ( now are approaching their mid 40's). We typically eat out one to two times per week and try to support local family owned restaurants in our area (Moon Valley Grill, Half Moon, and II Asilo). We both think Half Moon has the healthier food on most dishes, although when comparing the service between all of our favorites, Half Moon comes in at a dead last. This past Wednesday, my husband and I decided we were in the mood for their grilled chicken and vegetables ( no longer on the menu, but kitchen staff is always willing to make). We arrived a little after 4:00. There were four people seated at the bar, and a couple drinking soft drinks seated at a table nearby. The waitress took our drink order (beer & house wine) and left menus. A short time later, a couple walked in and sat at end of bar and greeted the bartender by "hello beautiful" and complimented her on her new hair cut. She quickly went over to them, served them drinks, and then begin to "shovel" some food they brought her making compliments on how great it was. She then said to them "let me put in your food order". She left them and waited on one more man that say at the bar before she began to make another round of drinks for the couple sitting at other end of bar (close to kitchen). The waitress then went behind the bar and began making our drinks( but was only able to make the Guiness ), she said something to bartender who walked off and down to the end of bar where her "friends" were sitting and begin shoveling more of the food they brought her. I simply said, "May we please get our drinks"? She jumped up rolled her eyes, threw her hands in the air as we were making the most unreasonable demand. The waitress delivered our drinks, and said, "Oh, somebody's in a hurry" She then asked if we were ready to order food, I politely declined and asked for our check. We left (our tab was 16.24, and we left 21.00). We took the high road...but this is our final farewell to Half Moon. Clay..thanks for the Good memories

  Five stars, I would give them six if I could. Today I stopped by for the UFC fights, and I was able to watch college football and the MLB playoffs at the exact same time, on side-by-side screens. Matt, and the rest of the staff provided impeccable service. They made some great recommendations, and answered all of my silly questions about what to order. I will happily be back again soon.

  Friendly staff with a fairly priced bar program. Always serving late night drinks with a smile. Shuffleboard and a jukebox makes for a cool vibe!

  Lindsy is an amazing server. All of our food was very delicious perfect and very welcoming. Thanks again. Best burgers in the neighborhood
