1st time here on a Sunday Morning and walked into a lively, high spirits and rather busy environment (which are all good signs by the way lol.) The Menu is loaded with options, so perhaps you'll have a little bit of trouble choosing what to try, like I did. The Cafe de Olla was simply delicious! And the tiny Concha it came with? Nice lil surprise indeed. I settled for the Hatch Chilly Omlette and the Wifey got the Chillaquiles Trio, both super good and with generous plate sizes. Like I mentioned already, the place was high energy, which I sincerely loved. Definitely will be back for seconds, thirds and fourths!😎🤙🏼

Very good. The Dorado tacos with Chicken Tinga were so good. Kudos to whoever came up with this recipe. Beautiful restaurant with great decor. Nice staff. Highly recommend this restaurant. Only negative is when you walk in the door at host stand, it smells weird or like a chemical. Not a deal breaker to eat there, but I thought the team might want to address that so it is more welcoming.

I would like to preface this review by saying that accidents happen, we’re only human, but what matters is what is done to rectify an unfortunate situation. Today, 1/4/26, my daughter went with a group of 10 people for breakfast and she went to take a drink of her freshly served coffee when the handle broke off the mug and the HOT coffee spilled all over her thighs and abdomen. The coffee was all over the seat and the floor. She almost cried from the pain of the hot coffee however she was embarrassed because the restaurant patrons were all staring at her and the mess that was taking place so she opted to sit in soaked pants and shirt with her skin burning from the scalding coffee while the rest of the group finished their meals. She didn’t want to ruin the rest of the parties meal by making more of a scene. She was given rags to clean herself and someone came to mop the floor and clean her seat. The manager, Alma, then came to check on the situation and my daughter said she was ok however was still trying to clean herself off. The server then came over and said she could have a free appetizer which was fruit and 2 conchas. Is that what is done when a customer is given a broken mug that breaks resulting in getting burned? She was not offered any medical aid instead was supposed to be placated with bread. This is NOT about getting a free meal, it’s about ensuring that your guests are taken care of especially in a situation like this where a customer was burned. She is home now and her thighs are red which we are taking care of. In the end, she only took a few bites of her food once everything settled down which should have been another sign, apart from the tears in my daughters eyes, for the manager Alma to know everything wasn’t ok had she bothered to check on her again after the incident. Attempts have been made all day to call and speak to someone at the restaurant but the phone just rings busy and we will not go in person to make a scene. What’s done is done now. What has happened now is that while we are HUGE supporters of family owned businesses, my family/friends and I will never return to this restaurant which could mean absolutely nothing to the owners and that’s fine, but bad reviews always make more of an impact than good ones. Hopefully the owners/manager can use this situation and review as an example of what not to do when a customer is injured in their restaurant regardless of where the fault may lie.

Quick, convenient spot, but the flavors and authenticity fell short for me. I ordered the Chilaquiles DF. I was born in Mexico and grew up eating authentic Mexican food, so I tend to be pretty aware of flavor and seasoning. The chilaquiles were very mild overall. The sauce was bland, and most of what you taste is the tortilla chips. The carne asada didn’t have much flavor and honestly tasted more like steamed meat than grilled or seasoned asada. On the plus side, the regular coffee was fine, and the café de olla was really good—definitely the standout. The service was good, nothing special. I also tried the mole, which was too bitter for my taste and didn’t have the balanced spicy-sweet flavor I usually expect from mole. Overall, if you’re looking for something quick and convenient and aren’t too focused on authenticity, this place will do the job. But if you’re craving traditional, flavorful Mexican food, you may want to look elsewhere.

I have had this place on my list for a few years now and finally had a reason to make a two hour drive there when my bestie was in Phoenix area for the holidays. I take my chilaquiles very seriously. In fact, I am a self proclaimed expert/aficionado from years and years ago after first trying my sister-in-laws chilaquiles and deciding it was in my top 5 favorite foods of all time. Over the years, I have tried hundreds of chilaquiles versions - my SIL's being the bar that had to be met. This lovely restaurant was quite busy for a Friday late morning, everyone I encountered here was super warm and friendly. We were sat at a high top in the bar and our server was very attentive. We ordered a couple of guava mimosas and both went for the chilaquiles trio. I am not a big fan of meat with my chilaquiles but I did the birria and she went with the default of carne asada. Drinks were good, a smidge heavy on the guava juice. The food came out pretty quickly and portions were hearty (we could have split). They mixed up our meats (she did the default over medium, I can't do anything but scrambled) but it was fine we just ate off each others plates since we had planned on sharing the protein anyway. She had never had chilaquiles before, and enjoyed her meal. Me, well I have had plenty to compare these to and give them 3.5/5 (red was a 4). The flavor was good, but the green was very dry - almost as if chips were tossed on a plate and sauce sparingly poured on them. Juarez sauce was flavorful, but same thing, super crispy tortilla strips... so if you like that, you will definitely like these. Red was nice balance of soft/but precooked prior to sauce being added. My fave is red, particularly if made with hatch red chiles. Ambiance, service and food make this a solid 4 star joint and I would definitely come back if I was in the area again or near their other two locations.
