  1 star you ask despite however good the dogs tasted....huge huge issues...I ordered 2 dogs cheese chili and traditional, and fried mushrooms...anticipating a great meal quickly turned into severe disappointment. Service was friendly on the outset...food came out in about 7 to 8 minutes which was reasonable. I took my food, sat down and the damn fried mushroom was icy frozen cold, surprised I tried a 2nd same icy...I looked around to get the attention of the young lady or young man who made the food...nowhere to be found... now I enjoyed the cheese chili dog and Chicago dog enough, but not enough to offset the mushrooms I was excited to enjoy...I even called out loudly and nothing, nobody, for the entirety of the meal (2 dogs)...here's the level of my frustrations reaching the pinnacle.... the you g lady was wearing beats headphones covering both ears so she couldn't have heard me if I screamed..I never saw the young man again. I told her once she removed her pink beats I insisted on a refund for the mushrooms which she obliged me and even said "we've been having issues with that happening a bit" .... now im honest about my reviews and IF I as staff knew this was an issue lately, I would have made certain things were properly cook to temperature beforehand.... waiting for 2 more minutes was irrelevant to my schedule.... Maybe im seeing this fully out of sorts, but no staff presence , bad or at least poorly performed food preparation, and an unhappy customer is a trifecta of bad things for your business.... not only did they lose revenue, I got my credit, and this not so positive review all would be different if I just had hot fried mushrooms had staff paid attention.... for the owners I sat in the first table, had a bright shirt on about 410 to 440p. On the 15th...im not sure I will ever return here and I thoroughly enjoyed the dogs despite the completely awful customer service this day.

  Any day I can find a Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich is a good day. It had been several years since my last visit to Chicago Land Hotdog & More, so I was looking forward to stopping in again and seeing how things have held up. The experience was good—but not great. The Italian beef was decent, but it didn’t quite hit the standout flavor I’ve come to hope for when I’m craving a true Chicago-style sandwich. The shop seems to serve a variety of sandwiches now, and it appears that the Chicago beef isn’t ordered as often, though I could certainly be wrong. I’m not in any rush to return, but if you’re nearby and in the mood for a quick bite, it may still be worth a visit. It’s a solid option, even if it didn’t fully scratch that Chicago beef itch this time around.

  Well cockroaches in the bathroom so I’m sure they’re by the food also!
