We came on a Saturday afternoon peak time. We ordered a large posole and a large menudo. The posole was good. The Menudo tasted like it came from a can, we noticed it right away and let them know we didn’t like it and asked if we could exchange it for Posole. She argued with me, that it was fine and tasted good and made a scene in front of others. She eventually brought out a small posole, I asked if we could get the large since I had already paid for the large $16 bowl. She said she couldn’t because the menudo was still good and we were being difficult. She was refusing to exchange it because to her it was “good”. Eventually she did bring us the posole. This was a very embarrassing experience as they made a scene in front of other customers and staff. I didn’t make a big deal just wanted to exchange it for posole because it wasnt good (weird/bitter).

Im from Texas where they have tex-mex but this place is authentic Mexican food. The beef was greasy and so was the chicken, but it had great flavor! It was $57 for 3 people to eat, but we also had the chip/bean for appetizer and 3 drinks. So not to bad on price. The people where very nice! If i could i would rate at 4.5 but I rounded up since I was wanting tex/mex but got true authentic Mexican food. Thank you to the people who worked there for dealing with this Texas man.

The food is delish, a lil pricey for so much competition but those Tuesday and Thursday specials make a difference. We are from out of town and some specials on the weekends would really help. Mostly stop by when we need to drive up for medical reasons.

Where do I start? My wife and I rolled into Don Pancho for dinner on a weekday and left pleasantly surprised (and full). The menu is a treasure chest of authentic Mexican street-style goodies—just the kind of place that makes you glad you took the detour. I ordered three tacos: one carnitas (slow-braised pork that melted in my mouth), one al pastor (marinated pork with that brightness of pineapple/seasoning you love), and one steak (juicy grilled carne asada). They were all solid—distinct enough to keep each bite interesting, but they shared that same fresh tortilla + good protein + flavor combo that made the trio feel cohesive and satisfying. My wife went the soup route with the pozole, which was a treat because it’s typically a special-occasion on the menu (often Sunday). Yet there it was on a weekday evening! Big win. Hearty, rich, with tender meat and hominy, and enough warmth to make you linger. The vibe? Super relaxed. A local favorite spot with real flavor, friendly faces, and a menu that invites you to dig in. I’d say Don Pancho is exactly the kind of place you go to when you want no-fuss, delicious Mexican comfort food done right. Pro tip: Mix up your taco lineup—choose carnitas, al pastor, steak and taste the subtle differences. And keep an eye out for the pozole—it’s a weekday gem when they have it.
