As bad as Wells Fargo for sneaky fees and/or surprise fee increases. A couple of window tellers couldn't explain a particular charge to me. It might be this or it might be this other thing. Neither could tell me and I had the due notice from Truist with me. All I got from Truist was you owe x amount and no reason why. A couple of things prior and unrelated was like they didn't care if I banked with them or not. Taking my banking elsewhere.

Truist is terrible when depositing checks. They place 7 day holds on your money while they are making money off of your money. Dishonest. It used to be good when they had people who knew you and cared for you, now it's a hassle. Nobody knows you our even seems to care. "Show me your ID" . I get it but now you are just a number.

Completely unsatisfied with this bank. Will never use it again. First, an elderly neighbor of mine, was escorted into the bank with 2 people who had drugged him up to access his account. They didn't get into his account, but no one at the bank notified the cops or anyone when they noticed the man was clearly drugged, which tells me they do NOT care about their customers..SHAME ON YOU!!!! SECOND, my husband deposited a paycheck, they put a hold on it. Soon as it cleared, they immediately renigged on it, jerked it back out of his account and put an administrative hold on it for another 6 days. This is completely unprofessional. You gave him his money he WORKED FOR then took it back, when his account was OPENED with a check from the SAME restaurant! Clearly does not know how to handle a simple transaction from a bank in Charleston wv, only 40 miles away. I only wish I could give ZERO stars, because that's the service we get from them.
