- BPBenjamin PrattMay 25, 20181.0TIAA--I never had a need to ask you for anything for 25 years. Now I did have a need and you have failed miserably. I had put in a request for information (qdro). I just need a value for a certain date in the past. When I finally, after several phone calls and having to get my lawyer involved, someone was assigned to it. First, the person handling my case closed the order without doing anything--after weeks had passed. Next, after more weeks, he gave me the wrong information---the wrong date. This really simple request--look on a computer for the value—has dragged out forever at great expense to me. I have spent hours and hours on hold. The hold music is terrible, and the sound quality is even worse. It drives me nuts and it even haunts my dreams. Earlier today, I spoke with one customer service person who said there was nothing he could do. He said there was no way he could contact that unit. A few minutes later, I called back and got a different guy (after being on hold again). He was actually helpful and did message the unit. Lots of inconsistency with your customer service people as well. I am going to put this review online. You really have to fix this process.
