    Such a great experience opening my account at the WaFd branch in Yakima. It was recommended by a friend who couldn’t recommend them more. I was greeted by everyone and was assisted by Joseph Aranda. Had a genuine conversation of my needs now and future financial plans on adding identity theft protection. Joseph made the process clear from start to finish. He was able to answer my questions while addressing any concerns I had regarding over draft protection. Great experience! Will be recommending, personal assistance with no bot interactions.

    The service here is excellent. They have the friendliest staff. Every time I walk in this bank everyone greets you no matter what they are doing. I went in once to make sure my debit card would work while I was vacationing outside the US and a week later I received a card signed by everyone at the bank wishing me a wonderful trip. A very nice touch.

    When looking for a bank to open a new account at, I came across WaFd. I was surprised by the reviews and looked around other parts of the State to see what people said. The high rating isn't an anomaly, it seems like nearly every WaFd Bank branch has great reviews customer service and the Yakima branch is no exception. Joseph Aranda greeted my wife and I cordially and helped us depsoit a check and also finish adding her to the account. We had an issue with the online application and he was able to fix it extremely quickly and get her officially added. All while making genuine small talk and talking about the Lakers and their season. He mentioned a few other products we might like to know about and was not "upselling" or pushy at all. Just a matter of fact letting us know about other options if we need them. Its rare to get genuine good customer service thats not being forced to be met by metrics or an over zealous boss trying to get good reviews for the company. This was the most pleasant and genuine banking experience I've ever had and was night and day difference from Yakima Federal where I just closed an account (hence opening the new one here). So glad I did. Great job Joe and the WaFd Yakima Team! See you next time. And thanks for my Walt the Vault piggy bank! Happy to be banking here. 💯
